A man aged in his 30s who was attacked at Christmas in Birmingham, has prompted police to launch a murder investigation.
Around 11 p.m. on Saturday, the victim suffered an assault in a Bartley Green home.
A total of nine ambulances and police vehicles were sent to Roundlea Road. However, the victim was not saved by the officers.
According to one resident, “The entire street was illuminated last night with blinking blue lights.”

A murder investigation has been launched by police after an unidentified man, in his 30s, was attacked and killed at a Birmingham Christmas party. Pictured here: The cordon that was in place at this home today is still in effect.

West Midlands Police says no arrests have taken place and asks for witnesses.
“A friend of mine told me that he had heard that a young person was being stabbed in his home. Evidently there was an occasional Christmas party.
‘It’s shocking. It is a mix of older and younger people. There is rarely too much trouble. This is worrying because it happens close at home.
While forensic teams were searching the suburb, police sealed the semi detached property.
An officer could be seen in the upstairs rooms investigating the incident from the blue forensic tent that was placed around the front of the house.
The West Midlands Police stated that no arrests have been made.
Jim Colclough Detective Inspector stated that: “We are at the very beginning of our investigation. We would love to hear from anyone with any information concerning this tragic death.

According to police, the victim died on the spot and the family was informed. Pictured: This morning, officers from the Forensic Section were seen inspecting the house where it was believed that a party had taken place.
“The man’s family was informed. Specialist officers will be supporting them during our investigations.”
Residents revealed that the victim was just moving into the home with his girlfriend and young daughter.
One neighbour said to the couple that the victim was in his forties. He lived with another woman at the address and looked the same age.
They have only lived there for two to three months.
One resident on Roundlea Road stated that the couple seemed to be a happy and loving couple.
They were not my acquaintance by name. However, I did know that they had a daughter of about five years. It is unclear if this was their daughter from an earlier relationship.

Neighbors claim that the family (pictured) only moved in two weeks prior to the incident.
“We used to greet them when they came by our house on the streets.
“We heard shouting from our house Saturday night. I’m not sure if it was their or someone else.
“We saw some blue light arriving from the police and ambulance last night.”
