Craig Charles revealed that Jack was on oxygen since he received COVID-19 from his father.

Craig Charles (57) has disclosed that Jack Charles (32) has been placed on oxygen since he contracted Covid-19. The actor was pictured in 2017.

The tweet he posted at that time was: “Okay guys, I don’t want to alarm. But I have caught Covid.  

“Breathing seems a little laboured, which is worrying. But I have an oxymonitor and so far there’s no hospital.

“I am starting to feel better, but I have to be alone. Sorry to disappoint everyone. I will return soon. 

He also spoke out about drinking during lockdown because he could not do his DJ job.

He said: ‘Mass gatherings is my job, and sitting in your pants for 18 months watching drinking rosé isn’t great for business. 

‘I’ve been working at full tilt to claw back in six months what we would have made in 18.’ 

Because of his addiction, he admits that he is now a full-time worker and can be dangerously distracted by his job. He admitted that he once spend £250,000 on crack cocaine. 

Back in 2014, he quit I’m A Celebrity stint after his brother Dean died.  Friends and family were concerned that Dean would be back on the wrong track after his death. 

He said, “I just put myself in work and have continued to work ever since.”

Craig is best-known for his roles as Lloyd and Dave Lister in Red Dwarf. In July, he announced that he will be hosting a new show, The Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show, on 6 Music.

Craig, who was playing Lloyd the taxi driver on Coronation Street in 2005, was allowed to express his personality and free reign.

To focus on Red Dwarf, he left his soap role in May 2015.

Since then, he has taken up DJing and performed at many festivals and events throughout the summer.
