Olivia Wilde is a very private celebrity who has now opened up to Harry Styles about their new relationship.

Director and actress of One Direction, the 38-year-old said that she shares a deep love with her former heartthrob 28 year old One Direction star, but declined to discuss their relationship further because they “go out of their ways to protect it”.

Olivia, who met Harry while directing him in her new film Don’t Worry Darling, admitted she wants to remain tight-lipped about her new romance due to her highly-publicised bitter split with ex-fiancé Jason Sudeikis, 46, with whom she shares two young children.

Speaking about her new romance in an interview with Variety magazine, she said: ‘I’m not going to say anything about it because I’ve never seen a relationship benefit from being dragged into the public arena.’

She said, “We go to great lengths to protect our relationship. I believe it comes from experience but also deep love.” 

Since January 2021, the couple has been romantically involved.

Olivia opened up in Variety magazine’s most recent edition.

Actress, who now calls the incident “an attack on her workplace”, said that she wasn’t surprised by it because she had a reason to leave that relationship.

Jason and Olivia, who met for the first time in 2011, now have two children, Otis (8 years old) and Daisy (5 years).

Olivia, who was promoting Don’t Worry Darling at ComicCon in Las Vegas four months prior to being ambushed by Jason with a petition requesting that their children live in New York City with Jason.

The actress slammed her ex-fiancé for the way it happened as she told Variety in her cover story: ‘It was my workplace. This would be considered an attack at any workplace. 

“It was very upsetting. It should not have happened. It was really frightening that there had been a breach of security. 

‘The hurdles that you had to jump through to get into that room with several badges, plus special COVID tests that had to be taken days in advance, which gave you wristbands that were necessary to gain access to the event — this was something that required forethought.’

According to an insider, Jason didn’t know that it was happening. “No one knew the truth until these photos appeared.” He was shocked by the entire situation and would never have put Olivia in such a position.

Olivia said: ‘The only people who suffered were my kids, because they’ll have to see that, and they shouldn’t ever have to know that happened. It was horrible for me. But the victims were 8 and 5 year olds, which is really tragic.

Recently, a California judge declared California the birth state for their children. An insider revealed to People last week that the actress ‘wants focus on the best interests of the kids’.

Source said that Jason and she don’t communicate with each other so they use help to discuss custody scheduling.

While Olivia might be upset by the custody drama, Olivia still wants her children to see their father “as much” as she can.

According to an insider, the actress hopes that they will find the most comfortable living conditions for all.
