Auctioneers have put up a huge selection of famous items from Only Fools and Horses, which includes a three-wheeled van and Trigger’s medal from Council for ‘preserving’ his broom.
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the sitcom’s long-running series, more than 150 items are up for sale.
These include the 1973 Reliant Regal Supervan III, signed by David Jason. They also contain Uncle Albert’s medals of war and numerous items taken from Trotter’s Flat.

The haul will be auctioned off by East Bristol Auctions and include the iconic 1973 Reliant Regal Supervan III and Del-Boy’s well-known attire – a fur coat, red jumper and flat cap

Trotter’s Independent Trading Co’s famous slogan: “New York, Paris, Peckham” was the original 1973 Reliant Regal Supervan III.

The three-wheeled van is perhaps the most recognisable item up for sale – and is an iconic piece of British TV history used for promotional purposes by the BBC and Only Fools & Horses Appreciation Society
Today’s live launch of the collection came after it was catalogued by East Bristol Auctions. The auctions claimed they had so many items that they were able to recreate’ Del-Boy’s flat in their showroom.
The most anticipated item going under the hammer is the original Reliant, which was the official promotional vehicle for the Only Fools & Horses Appreciation Society.
BBC used the vehicle several times throughout the years, including to promote the DVD Box Set and official books.
Andrew Stowe, auctioneer, said that the collection is unique.

You can also purchase Uncle Albert’s legendary war medals and the Trotter flat bar. There are also a variety of costume from this series.
He stated, “It’s almost as real as the original thing you could ever get. And it has many incredible connections with the series.”
“It is iconic. People love Del Boy’s van. They just smile at it. It was only a few minutes that it had been parked in front of our salesroom, where there were already people taking selfies.
The van carries an estimate of £15-20k.
Other highlights of the sale include one Uncle Albert’s original medals from war, worn by Buster Merryfield in the series.

Trigger’s cap is on sale in the memorable montage of The Jolly Boys Outing special set, Margate.

Andrew commented: “Albert’s war stories are one of longest-running gags so having one his medals during war is really special.”

A medal from the 1996 Christmas Special ‘Heroes And Villains’ is also up for grabs. It is given to Trigger in recognition of his road-sweeping services.
Del and Rodney later save the councillor from the muggers as he dressed up in Batman and Robin costumes, and were filming just outside Stokes Croft near Bristol.
Other larger items, such as a Del’s bar replica, a limited-edition gold van door and even the complete ‘Del Boy” costume set, are included. These will likely fetch you thousands of dollars under the auctioneer’s hammer.
Andrew stated that they expect strong interest to begin later in the month.

Traure trove contains smaller items, including die-cast versions of larger vans with three wheels. This is the highlight of the auction.
He stated that Bristol is “the home of Only Fools and Horses.” The majority of later series were shot in Bristol, which is surrounded by beautiful locations.
The block of flats that was used to build Nelson Mandela House can be found just outside the city. It is easy to feel a connection with our city.
The majority of the collection comes from Only Fools And Horses appreciation Society and it is anticipated to sell for more than 50 thousand pounds.
“Many of these items were not very valuable, especially in the Trotter Flat. However they now look chic and are in fashion.
He had everything he needed, from a gaudy pattern carpet to ceramic dogs of life size, in his apartment.
Fans of ‘Only Fools are a unique British phenomenon, but there are many.
“It is very surreal to be able to offer some of the greatest pieces in comic history right here, in our salesroom.

Collectors can also purchase Del’s extravagant outfit, as worn by Sir David Jason (the show’s iconic lead)
“To greet a Del Boy Mannequin in life size – complete with his sheepskin jacket – each morning is great, but a bit strange.
Cataloguing was great fun. We found Uncle Albert’s medal in one box. Next, we had a ceramic cat who sang How Much Is That Doggy?
“We had hours of laughter as we solved it all, pulling out an episode from the past and then performing it again.”
The original Hang Glider from the episode Tea For Three has a price estimate of £10-15K, Trigger’s medal £6-8k, Uncle Albert’s war medal £4-6k.
The total sale estimate is £150,000.
