A dietitian has identified the signs and symptoms of disordered-eating that many may not be aware. 

Disordered eating and eating disorders are estimated to impact 16 per cent of Australia’s population, according to Sydney dietitian Rebecca Gawthorne. 

The health expert shared a reel on her Instagram, Nourish Naturally, outlining 14 ‘potential’ signs of disordered eating or an unhealthy relationship with food.

Rebecca wrote that disordered eating is a term used to describe irregular eating patterns that may or not warrant a diagnosis.

She wrote that she said “potential” because not all people who show these signs have disordered eating or a poor relationship to food. 

Some people like to plan their meals in advance, while others enjoy planning their next meal. Others with allergies might always need to read labels.
