The Duke of Rutland’s socialite daughter has been fined £50 for speeding in her Audi after pleading ‘financial hardship’ with the court and admitting it would cause ‘cash flow issues’.
Lady Eliza Manners, 24, whose family seat is The Crown’s Belvoir Castle, was driving at 47mph in a 40mph zone near the Grand Union Canal, Brentford on the M4 back in March. She was caught by a speed camera and sent a fine for £100.
The socialite, who is the youngest daughter of David Manners, the 11th Duke of Rutland, lives in a £700,000 Notting Hill apartment and owns her own interior design company, Eliza Manners London.
She allegedly wrote to Lavender Hill magistrates in London asking for a lower penalty because the full amount would lead to financial difficulties.

According to The Evening Standard, Lady Eliza said “yes” to the question of financial hardship, and that she would have ‘cash flow problems’ if she did not pay the fine in full.
The socialite, who entered her guilty plea online in April, did not declare any living expenses to the court, and was fined less than half of her stated weekly income.
Lady Eliza, who described as ‘the wild one’ of the family, has been seen on her Instagram travelling to Milan donning Yves Saint Laurent designer blazers and Celine handbags, and also spending time in the sun on a boat in Greece.
Lady Eliza and Lady Violet, 28 and Lady Alice 26, respectively, are often featured in Tatler and Vanity Fair.
The sisters, who each attended the £29,000-a-year Queen Margaret’s school in York, have attracted negative headlines in the past, and have been dubbed the ‘bad Manners sisters’ after neighbours in Fulham, West London, complained of loud, all-night parties.
They spent lockdown at Belvoir Castle in Leicestershire, which has been used for filming the hit Netflix series, The Crown.
They have been approached previously about a program documenting their lives at the castle.
Eliza Manners and Alice Manners are among the guests at a private dinner hosted in part by Delvaux and British Vogue at Mark’s Club, July 10, 2018.

Lady Eliza stated that she had received many offers, but that it was not right for her.
“The only thing we have in common is that we are a large family and have an amazing, strong, and powerful mom.
The sisters are not only featured in Tatler and Vogue, but also have a glamorous Instagram account full of stunning outfits and exotic locations. Vanity Fair called them the’real-life Crawley siblings’ after Downton Abbey’s aristocratic trio.
Violet has set up her own marketing company – Akana Collective – during lockdown, Alice is a fashion stylist and Eliza styles interiors.
This news comes as Lady Eliza, shared a touching tribute to her late horse, Duke, on social media.
She said, “My darling horse, Duke has slipped away to horsey heaven.” The bond you have with your horse can’t be described.
“You have complete faith in them. Even though Duke was four years old, he had all the wisdom of an adult.
“He died on the Welsh hills where his mother grew up riding. It is beautiful and poetic.
