Ben Goldsmith’s neighbors have suspected for years that he is responsible for the sudden appearance wild boar in his fashionable corner West Country.

Goldsmith has shaken things up since deciding to ‘rewild’ his £3.8 million estate in deepest Somerset, attracting beavers, boar and deer to the sleepy, rolling countryside — and as I revealed earlier this year, he recently bought a pair of wildcats.

Although the nature activist and financier insists that he has never released boar, and insists that they are content to trample on his land, I can confirm that he has raised some feral pigs.

He plans on giving them to his friends who are’rewilding their estates’.

Neighbours of multi-millionaire Ben Goldsmith have long suspected he was responsible for the sudden appearance of wild boar in his fashionable corner of the West Country

Ben Goldsmith, multi-millionaire neighbor, has long suspected that wild boar suddenly appeared in his fashionable corner West Country.

Goldsmith, 40, admitted that he recently welcomed a litter’suspiciously strippedy’ piglets into his menagerie.

“I use Tamworth pigs to root my soil and encourage the growth of wild plants.

“It appears that a rogue wild bear entered my pen where I keep my Tamworths, and knocked up the sow!”

However, the family seems happy. “I don’t think her mate knows that he’s been cuckolded!” Goldsmith laughs.

He believes the ‘illicit liaison’ was a happy accident. He hopes to give his friends with estates the piglets and adds: ‘I can provide these to people who are interested in doing the same thing with my land as I am. They are very sweet.

This newspaper revealed recently that James Goldsmith’s son was accused of setting wild boar loose. He sent a text recalling an event when “some of my wild Boar got loose” and “try as I might” I was unable retrieve them.

However, he explained he would never release these animals — a crime that carries a prison sentence of up to two years — and says he typed the words ‘wild boar’ in error when he really meant to type ‘pigs’ because ‘I must have been typing on my phone while driving’.

While Goldsmith may be content as a pig in muck over the new additions on his farm, I wonder how his neighbours will feel.

WHY MAMMA MIA MAESTRO IS NOW THE NEW QUEEN OF POP

Mamma Mia! Judy Craymer, who created the hit musical, is now the most powerful woman in pop. She manages artists like Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, and Justin Bieber.

I can reveal she has been crowned a director of Universal Music Group — whose catalogue includes The Beatles and of course ABBA.

Craymer, 64, has seen a lot in his 20-year career. He went from being a relatively unknown theatre producer, to managing the careers of some of the most well-known pop musicians in the world.

She was included on the Queen’s Birthday Honours List of 2007 and was awarded an MBE for her contributions to the music industry. She is a true trouper!

Sir Edward Leigh is a dog owner and has been asked to control his spirited Foxhound after it caused havoc in Hyde Park.

The Tory grandee, 71, goes for a bracing dip in the icy-cold waters of the Serpentine each morning — and lets Monty run amok as he does so.

“Sir Edward has been reminded to keep his dog under control by the swimming club,” says my man with snorkel.

“He glides calmly around the pond while his hound terrorizes the geese!”

SPOTTED GEORGIA MAY IS A PRINTS FAN TO JADE’S50TH

Sir Mick Jagger is busy touring the U.S.A with the Rolling Stones while his sun-seeking daughter Georgia May is enjoying a much more relaxing time in the Caribbean.

The Chanel model, 29, whose mother is Texan bombshell Jerry Hall, is in Mustique where Mick, 78, owns a luxurious compound that rents for £21,500 a week.

It’s not, however, your typical island getaway. She’s there to celebrate Jade’s 50th birthday, her half-sister, and activist mother Bianca Jagger’s first wife Mick.

Georgia, who shared a photo of herself on the beach wearing matching leopard-print bikinis bottoms with Ally Hilfiger (daughter of Tommy), said, “A week in paradise to Celebrate Jade.”

Lady Antonia Fraser believes future historians may judge Margaret Thatcher’s treatment as’sexist’. The 89 year-old author has had to deal with sexism.

She told me that a prominent male historian once asked why a nice middle-class woman had written a book on Oliver Cromwell. I responded: ‘I’m not nice, and I’m not middle class — but I am a Lady!”

First, he opened a champagne bar at London’s St. James. Now, Luther actor IdrisElba seems to be shifting into clothing.

I can confirm that the 49-year-old smartly dressed entrepreneur has applied for a trademark to the word ‘Coupledom,’ the name of the podcast he hosts with his wife Sabrina. The trademark covers all clothing types.

Maybe I’ll be able to sip Idris champagne and wear an Elba jacket one day.

LADY LIZA SNAPS AT SELFIE SET

If Lady Liza Campbell follows you on Instagram — don’t post a selfie!

The famed artist, 62, claims that she had to delete some famous friends from social media because of the “narcissistic” trend.

“I love sharing photos, but it really brings forth the narcissists does it not? I’ve had the need to delete a few. Lady Liza tells you at the opening of Life’s Too Short To Die In Black And White at Fitzrovia gallery. Bill Nighy was there.

“You’re surprised at how many people want to use it to display photos of themselves.”

When creating her iconic gowns for Princess Diana, Princess Diana trusted her royal tailor more than anyone.

Now, I can reveal that Chelsea-based Catherine Walker & Co has enlisted Timothy Gordon to value their stash of her famous frocks.

Timothy, who valued Diana’s dress collection in Kensington Palace in 2009, said that he had been hired to appraise it and that he was ‘thrilled to do so.

Maybe the collection will be sold? In 2019, a dress Diana wore to dance with John Travolta at the White House sold for £264,000.
