What was Christopher Steele’s ‘dirty file’?

Steele’s 2016 ‘dirty dossier’  on the newly elected US President in 2017 alleged he was in Vladimir Putin’s pocket and claimed he threw an orgy with prostitutes on a Moscow trip.

The ‘dirty dossier’ was leaked in January 2017, as Trump was preparing to enter the White House. It was commissioned and compiled by a Washington consulting.

Orbis Business Intelligence Ltd was given the contract to investigate Donald Trump’s connections to Russia. Orbis Business Intelligence Ltd was co-founded by Mr Steele who has been a Russian expert for MI6 over 22 years.

Six months later, the document was leaked to US Democrat politicians, and the media. It contained claims Putin spent years compiling a embarrassing kompromat’ file about the President.

Steele claimed that Russian spies claimed they had filmed an orgy Mr Trump staged at a hotel on a business trip.

It also said The Russian security services could blackmail President-Elect, according to claims that he paid prostitutes for urinating on a bed Barack and Michelle Obama slept on.

The dossier revealed that not only had Mr Putin’s men provided Mr Trump with information that was useful in his election campaign in 2016, but also that his allies had returned information about Russians living in America.

Trump dismissed his evidence and called it fake news. He also called Steele a ‘failed spy’. However, it was part of Robert Mueller’s investigation into collusion between Trump’s campaign and Russia.

Steele declared the publication of this dossier morally repugnant and insisted that the report’s contents should remain private.
