Ex-Royal Marines Commando 34 is indicted for murders of wife and husband ‘after bitter parking dispute escalated’

Ex-Royal Marines Commando charged with murdering a married couple over bitter Somerset parking dispute.

IT teacher Stephen Chapple, 34, and his garden centre coffee shop worker wife Jennifer, 33, were found with serious injuries at their £250,000 home in Norton Fitzwarren near Taunton on Sunday night and died at the scene while their two sons slept upstairs.

According to some reports, the incident was caused by a dispute about parking. Neighbors had left their cars out of each other’s driveways, which led to them being blocked in.

Avon and Somerset Police have confirmed tonight that Collin Reeves (34) has been accused of the murders.

The Chapples were found seriously injured at their house on Sunday night. They are pictured together on their wedding day

The force confirmed at a press conference yesterday that the couple’s two children, five and six, were in their upstairs bedrooms while the attack took place. 

According to neighbours, they were found unhurt but ‘distressed’. They are now being taken care of by Jenny’s sister at the nearby house. 

Her postmortem revealed that Mrs Chapple sustained’multiple’ stabbing wounds. The postmortem for Mr Chapple has yet to be completed.  

According to police, the incident at Dragon Rise Estate would be reported to the watchdog policing because of ‘prior contact’ with the people involved.
