Fear grows for the 67-year-old ‘vulnerable woman’ who has dementia. She was last seen at Central London Tube Station.

  • Last seen at Farringdon Underground Station, 8pm. 
  • Barbara’s safety is a growing concern for the Met and Barbara. 










After a missing 67-year old woman suffering from dementia, police are becoming more concerned. 

Barbara Thaxton, described as vulnerable, may have moved out of Hackney, east London, around 5.35pm on Monday December 27, 2017.  

Later, she was seen approaching ticket barriers at Farringdon Underground Station around 8pm.

Barbara Thaxton, described as vulnerable, may have fled her Hackney home on Monday, 27 December, at around 5.35pm. Later, she was seen at Farringdon Underground Station at 8.

Following Barbara’s sighting at Farringdon police are trying track her whereabouts.

Scotland Yard spokeswoman said that Barbara has Dementia, and could appear confused. The welfare of her family members and the officers who serve with her are being increasingly worried.

Barbara was last seen wearing a woollen fleece/hooded shirt with thick grey and noir stripes, dark-coloured trousers, and dark-coloured shoes. 

“She also carried a bag made of light-coloured mesh material. 

“Both Barbara’s feet have been bandaged.” 

The Met’s Missing Persons Unit, Central East BCU has been asked by officers to notify anyone that saw Barbara.
