After it emerged that she received a text instructing her to isolate, Finland’s Prime Minister has apologized for clubbing till 4 am at weekend.

Sanna Marin (36), apologized Monday for photos she took at a Helsinki club on Saturday night, just hours after Pekka Haavisto, her foreign minister, tested positive for coronavirus.

“My husband… and I went out to dinner and shopped around town. We also saw friends. And we spent time with our family. [enjoying]The evening and nightlife,” wrote the Social Democrat leader on Facebook.

I should have used more judgment and double-checked all the instructions given to my. Marin expressed deep regret for not having understood why he needed it.

She also stated that an official told her that coronavirus guidelines didn’t require her to isolate, even though she had been in close contact with infected people.

Later, she admitted that she missed the text telling her to disconnect from a mobile she left at home.

After seeing the text on Sunday, the prime minister requested an immediate test. She was then criticised for her lack of judgement.

According to Seiska, Marin and friends were seen at Butchers in Helsinki’s capital on Saturday after they had eaten at Grotesk.

Although the prime minister was photographed dancing in the club at 4am, it later emerged that she had spoken with Covid-positive foreign Minister hours prior.

MTV3 conducted a survey and discovered that Marin’s night out on the town was considered a grave mistake by two thirds of those surveyed.

Marin’s potential violation of official Covid guidelines, and her failure to receive the warning text for isolation were also condemned by opposition parties.

Annika Saarikko (Finance Minister) from Centre Party, which is the ruling coalition partner, didn’t criticize Marin directly but she said that she was happy she was at home when she received the text informing her to isolate.

Finland took additional measures after its government declared that vaccinations will be required for social workers and health care personnel.

It also advised regional authorities to intensify their search and trace efforts as well as to encourage remote work to be done in affected areas.

Finland requires all foreign travelers arriving in Finland to present a Covid certificate confirming that they are vaccinated. This is to help stop Omicron from spreading.

If you do not possess a certificate, you will be required to take the Covid-19 test.
