These are the first photographs taken inside the bungalow in which Penny Jackson murdered her husband, a retired colonel.

One photo shows Aga, which was claimed to be the center of an argument over burnt squeak and burnt bubble that led to the execution. 

Jurors were told that Mrs Jackson first slashed across the chest in a bedroom in the couple’s home. 

After knipping him she told police that he was dead on the kitchen floor.

Mrs Jackson, in a conversation recorded by police, told and emergency call handler: ‘He’s in the kitchen bleeding to death with any luck.

‘I thought I’d got his heart, but he hasn’t got one then twice in the abdomen. His abdomen is buggered.’

The paraphernalia that was used to help sell the property portrays a happy family home with photos of a family’s wedding decorating the living room wall and shelves of books.

The garden has been kept neat and the dining area table is set for a relaxed family meal.

One nearby resident said: ‘I’m not sure if the new owners are aware of what happened in there.

‘But I wish them all the best in their new home and that the neighbourhood can move on from this.’
