Want to look like a billionaire but not know how? Flashy logos are not the answer. It bags and red-soled Louboutins are. Today’s super-rich are all about ‘stealth wealth’ style: a subtle, luxurious look as displayed in Sky Atlantic’s hit TV show Succession. Rumoured to be based on media tycoon Rupert Murdoch’s family, the female lead, Shiv Roy — said to be modelled on Murdoch’s daughter Elisabeth — is queen of stealth wealth fashion. While Shiv’s budget is stratospheric, you can recreate the chic simplicity of this look on the High Street…

1 Stick to chic neutrals
Stealth wealth has a strict palette that includes cream, taupe and grey as well as navy, grey, charcoal, navy, and all shades of beige from pale biscuit to rich carmel. (Beige isn’t boring. Beige is rich.)
Massimo Dutti should be top of your list for wool blend turtlenecks (£59.95, massimo dutti.com), silk blouses (from £69.95) and wool trousers (£89.95) in shades from pale ecru to tobacco. The White Company, as its name suggests, also breathes neutrals. Invest in super-soft alpaca knitwear there for less than £100.
2 Slip on a silky blouse
Stealth wealth dressing should not be considered too sexy. A half-tucked-in silk blouse with a few buttons can be very attractive.
Jigsaw has silk blouses with concealed buttons that are machine-washable (pictured left), while Uniqlo has slightly sheerer silk blouses (£59.90, uniqlo.com) if you are feeling more risque. For the ultimate luxe look, pair your silk blouse with delicate gold necklaces peeking out.
3 Natural fabrics only, please

Avoid manmade fibres. All natural fabrics should include cashmere, silk and Merino wool. M&S has cashmere roll-necks for £89 that can be machine-washed on a delicate cycle. Invest in a cashmere comb (sold on Amazon for £5) to keep your cashmere un-bobbled.
Head to Cos for organic cotton shirts (from £45, cosstores.com) and pure wool knitwear, from dresses (£89) to vests (£69).
4 Embrace minimalism
Choose minimalist accessories. Designer bags are trending. A simple shoulder bag from The Row will set you back circa £2,000 but you can snap up one from Mango for £69.99 (pictured right).
Skyscraper designer stilettos have been out, Ditto. A pair of black, knee-high Jil Sander boots are £1,080 but Mango has a pair for £139.
5 Try a ‘power polo neck’
Want to look as good as Succession’s Shiv Roy in a polo neck? You should choose a fine-knit polo neck rather than a chunky or fluffy style. A simple pendant worn over the top is a bonus, a la Shiv. For lightweight wool turtlenecks with a subtle exposed seam detail, head to & Other Stories (available in black and beige, £45, stories.com).
Or, you can try the Hobbs navy ribbed Merino Wool roll-neck (pictured right), with subtle gold button detailing on cuffs.
6 Keep your coat classic

The faux fur in technicolour is back in fashion. Instead, opt for a well-cut and double-breasted coat, a classic trench, or a simple wrap-over style.
The M&S Autograph wool wrap coat in camel (pictured) looks far more expensive than it is, while & Other Stories hits the mark with a wool coat in a shade it calls mole (£175, stories.com). These classics will last you for many years.
