After becoming viral TikTok star for posting videos online of her cooking, a former McDonald’s employee has made a leap from $12 to $10,000 per month.
Just under a year ago, Maddison Peel, 22, from Kentucky, was working the register at the fast food chain.
She posted a clip in which she made roast chicken, with Cardi B’s song WAP playing behind it. It went viral.
She now has more than 360,000 fans and over 11 million likes. On the site, she uploads videos of her cooking, sharing recipes and offering tips.

Maddison, 22 years old, was working at the register of the fast-food chain a year ago. After she uploaded a video of her making roast chicken, it became viral and she quit her job.
She now has more than 360,000 fans and over 11 million likes. On the site, she uploads videos of her cooking, giving tips, or sharing recipes.
According to her, she earns between $5,000 and $10,000 per month from sponsored posts. She has also worked with many big brands such as Kroger, Walmart and Weber Grills.
‘I know that’s probably not responsible,’ she said to Insider during a recent interview, of her decision to quit her job at McDonalds.
“But, I saw a bright future with TikTok. A lot of brands reached out to me from that video.”
The outlet heard her tell of working for McDonalds as a teenager. However, due to low staffing she often had to take on three jobs to earn a single salary. Now, she’s so happy.
She said, “Now I am able to buy my own home and can purchase stuff myself and no longer have to worry about it.”
Maddison (from Kentucky) said that sponsored posts make her between $5,000 to $10,000 per month and she has worked with large brands like Kroger and Walmart.

Maddison also made a viral video showing how she makes potatoes au gratin and instructing others on how to make the delicious dish.
She made an apple skillet pie that was a hit with her viewers.
One clip featured Maddison making a dish called “cosmic brownie pancakes”, which is a brownie fried in pancake batter. This delicious dessert was decorated with caramel and powdered sugar.
In a different viral video, Maddison filmed herself making potatoes au gratin while instructing her followers on how they too could cook the tasty dish.
Maddison, despite not possessing a formal culinary education or a college degree, pursued her passion to be a content creator.
