Fornite goes down again! Global videogame crashes in under 24 hours

  • Fornite is currently down in thousands around the globe, and issues start at 11 AM ET 
  • It is now the second crash of the game in 24 hours.
  • Issues surfaced Wednesday after noon and persisted for about three hours 
  • Thursday’s crashed server is affecting login and Fornite websites.










Fortnite’s popular game is currently down again after 24 hours. This means that thousands around the world are unable to access Fortnite.

Epic’s game went down on Thursday at 11:00 ET. It was back online on Wednesday for three hours. Yesterday’s problems were resolved by 6:30 ET.

The server connection, login, and Fornite’s site are all being affected by Thursday’s crash. It is also affecting several other countries across the globe.

Problems are reported by players in Europe, the UK, China and parts of South America.

The Epic-owned game crashed around 11:00am ET on Thursday, but was offline on Wednesday afternoon for about three hours - yesterday's issues were fixed by 6:30pm ET

Fortnites Status tweeted Thursday’s outage and said: “We are investigating the login problems to the game.

“We’ll keep you informed when all issues have been resolved.”

Fortnite is an survival game in which 100 players battle each other to win the player-versus-player fight.  

It was first released by Epic Games in 2017. The game has become a cultural sensation for its vibrant colors, infectious dance moves, and use of in-game currency. 

Epic Games claimed that Fortnite had 80.4 million monthly active players as of September 2021.
