Four children have died following a fire at a house in south London today.
Around 60 firefighters and eight fire engines raced to Collingwood Road, Sutton around 7pm tonight. They were confronted with a fierce blaze on the entire ground floor.
After locating the children, emergency crews were able bring them to safety.
The four children were all rushed to the hospital, where they were declared dead despite rescue efforts.

Andy Roe (London Fire Commissioner) said tonight: “This incident left everyone feeling numb and profoundly sad.”
“My thoughts and condolences go out to the friends and family of the children and the community.
Firefighters arrived on the scene quickly to locate the children. The children were taken out of their home and received immediate emergency treatment.
“The safety of all employees involved in this incident was very important to us. All of them will receive counselling.”
