Prince Charles, the Duke of Cornwall and his wife were wrapped warmly today when they visited London’s Food Bank ahead of Christmas.  

As they thanked Wandsworth Food Bank staff and volunteers in south London for their ‘vital work,’ the royal couple donned winter clothes.

Sporting his usual patterned attire, the heir, 73, opted for a light blue striped shirt, navy jacket, shiny black shoe, and tie with a plus design.

In his customary patterned outfit, the heir, now 73, decided to sport a light-blue striped shirt, navy jacket and shiny black shoes, as well as a tie with plus details.

For Covid safety, he made a face mask from an offcut from my Turquoise Mountain Foundation’s textile programme in Myanmar.

Camilla, now 74, was dressed in black boots with a midi-green coat for London’s chill. 

The food bank, which is part of the Trussel Trust, was started by congregation members of St Mark’s Church in 2013 in response to the growing need they saw in their community. 

The Wandsworth Emergency Food, Support and Advice Centre provides support to families and individuals in crisis.

Last year, the  team and volunteers home-delivered 11,336 emergency food supplies to local people referred to them during the pandemic – a 78 per cent increase on the previous year.

After their visit to Wandsworth, the Royal couple wrote an Instagram thank you note and thanked their team for the ‘amazing job’ they did supporting Wandsworth. 

Charles and Camilla left the hospital after their visit to have a meeting with the locals.  

It comes as Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall’s released their official Christmas card for 2021 capturing  a sweet moment between the couple as well as giving a nod to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

The picture, taken on the second day of Royal Ascot in June, shows the heir-to-the-throne helping his wife  to adjust her face mask during the race meeting.

This snap will serve as the Prince of Wales’ Christmas greeting for this year. It is especially appropriate considering new regulations in England that require people to use masks in public places such as shops, public transport and public buildings like theatres, post offices and hairdressers.

It also shows Charles as Camilla’s loving husband, who he married April 2005. This was after an affair lasting decades.

Charles’s eldest son and the Duke of Cambridge also released his season greetings. He also shared a family picture where William, 39, is pictured with Kate Middleton and their three kids, Prince George (8 years old), Princess Charlotte (6 years) and Prince Louis (three).

This photo was taken on a family secret trip to Jordan earlier in the year.

Charles, in his Christmas card is dressed smartly in a grey suit and tie. He paired it with a white shirt, smart lavender tie and a pocket square made of lilac.

In a flowing cream dress paired with a matching headpiece, the Duchess of Cornwall looks equally elegant.
