Gigi Hadid’s mother Yolanda Hadid has claimed that Zayn Malik ‘struck’ her and is considering taking the matter to police.
Malik — father to Gigi’s daughter Khai — responded via Twitter and said that he has ‘agreed not to contest claims arising from an argument’ and alleges the incident involved nothing more than an exchange of ‘harsh words.’
The former Real Housewife of Beverly Hills maintains that last week the 28-year-old singer ‘struck’ her and she’s considering filing a police report over the alleged assault, TMZ reports.
DailyMail.com reached out directly to representatives for Malik and Hadid but they were not available for comment.

Malik’s tweet response claimed that the incident was caused by trying to ‘protect an unsafe space’ for Khai, one-year-old.
He also questioned his relationship with Gigi, stating in the statement that they will co-parent’ their daughter. This suggests that they may not be together at the moment.
Malik said, “As most people know, I am a private person. I want to create a safe place for my daughter to grow-up in.” A place where private family matters don’t get thrown on the global stage for everyone to see and discuss.
“In an effort to protect her space, I agreed not to contest claims arising out of an argument I had in my home with a family member who entered our home several weeks ago while my partner was away.

‘This was and should still be a private matter, but it appears for now there is discord and despite my efforts in order to restore us to peacefully family environments that will allow me the opportunity to co-parent my girl in a way she deserves. This has been “leaked,” to the press.
He said, “I am hopeful though that there will be healing for all those involved with the harsh words spoken and more importantly, I remain vigilant to protect Khai as well as give her the privacy she deserves.”
Gigi and Zayn had an on-again, off-again relationship that began in 2015. They rekindled their relationship shortly before Zayn, 26, announced that she was expecting her first child in spring 2020.

The couple had bought a house near Yolanda in bucolic Pennsylvania.
Yolanda’s claims became public shortly after she was spotted out for a solo walk in Soho, not far from Gigi’s penthouse.
She carried a large Christian Dior Tote and was seen wearing all black, with a large tumbler in her hands, on the outing.
