Teenager has said that she is the one who saw the girl being tied up in a car during footage of an alleged kidnapping. However, she insists she wasn’t being taken hostage.
Birmingham detectives released footage from a dashcam showing how a Ford Mondeo dark-colored suddenly stopped at Golden Hillock Road on November 7th, 2005.
Video showed the man pulling the woman into his car, after which she tried to get out of the vehicle. Officers were worried that the woman might have been forced into the car and could be in danger.
West Midlands Police said that the girl, aged 17, had come forward to confirm the identity of the female in the video.

West Midlands Police confirmed that a girl of 17 years has spoken out and said that she was the one being carried into the vehicle in the video.
According to a Twitter statement, the police confirmed that the teens told them there were no sinister motives behind the actions.

The girl did not disclose any offences to officers and police are making follow-up enquiries, while she has also been referred to support services.
West Midlands Police spokesperson said that the appeal was shared by many people.
“Some good news. One of the 17-year-old girls in the video saw our appeal, and she went to police last night to inform us that everything was fine.
We were concerned that she had been forced to drive the car and might have suffered harm.
She said that she had assured us of no evil motives and did not disclose any offenses.
“We have made some further enquiries about the girl and are referring her to support services. We are grateful for your support.
The dashcam footage shows the woman opening a passenger door and scrambling outside before a man gets out and lifts her back inside. The car then continues on to the Small Heath area.

Officers were afraid that the woman might have been forced into the car without her consent and worried about the possibility of harm.
After releasing the footage, a West Midlands Police spokesperson said: ‘We radioed around details of the vehicle to all our patrols and checked road cameras but we’ve not yet been able to trace the car.
“Enquiries continue to track the vehicle, the registered keeper and the men.
Witnesses described the victim being taken in the car by the witnesses as a woman.
“There wasn’t anything in her bag that could help us identify her, and we haven’t been able to find out if she is safe.
“We hope someone recognizes the short-shorted man in the video or knows someone with access to similar vehicles and matches his description.
Both men inside the car were Asian, in their early 20s. One of them has a beard while the other gets out. Also, the woman was Asian.
According to the spokesperson, “If you have any information which could assist us, please contact us; we are also asking for the woman to get in touch if possible to let us all know that she is OK.”
