A seven-year-old girl, daughter of a Russian military pilot was attacked by stray dogs while she walked back from her music lesson.
Margarita Kanorskaya was trapped in a narrow alleyway of Russia’s eastern Transbaikal and could not escape.
One of her legs was severed by the animals, leaving her with a severely damaged face.
To get to the body of the woman, which was being dragged to deserted land by her dogs, police had to remove them from their territory.

One of the girl’s legs was torn by animals, who then mutilated her head. The dogs ate one of the girl’s legs and then mutilated her face. Police were forced to chase them away.

Following the tragic death of her little sister, angry protests from residents of Domna (about 20 miles west of Chita’s regional capital Chita) over safety concerns led to Domna residents staging a peaceful funeral.
This was the first child of Major Anton Kanorsky, a decorated pilot in air force who was awarded a medal by Vladimir Putin for his bravery during wartime.
After the horrendous attack on her child, his wife, a teacher was taken to the hospital.
It is home to 6,300 people and also boasts a military base.
Anger erupted at the failure of officials to listen to warnings about aggressive packs of dogs in the village. Alexander Osipov was sent to Domna by the regional governor to try to placate the locals.

Alexander Osipov, the governor of the region, warned that Russian law does not permit local officials to remove or destroy stray dog from their communities.
He said, “It’s impossible to express our grief and pain in words.”
“On behalf the whole of the region I send my condolences to the family of the child.
“We will fully investigate this tragedy.”
He warned that Russian laws do not allow local officials to destroy or remove stray dogs from communities.
According to reports, vigilante groups have been sent out by the local population to kill the strays.

Following the funeral of the tragic little girl, which was attended her by her friends, angry protests were made by local residents in village Domna (about 20 miles southwest from regional capital Chita) over safety concerns.

Reports indicate that vigilante teams have been sent to the streets by locals in an attempt to stop these strays.
Margarita was educated at this school, where a shrine has been built. Margarita’s mother is a teacher.
In tears, a local woman asked: “What makes a difference now?” This child will not be returned even if guns or sticks are taken.
“She was their only child.”
A local teacher stated that she had been crying the whole night.
“I was attacked myself by several dogs.” They mauled me, but fortunately they did not touch any children who were walking home from school right beside me.
