Clarence Avant is the “Godfather of Black Music” and his wife, Clarence Avant, are killed by a Los Angeles home invader

  • Clarence Avant was a legendary music executive. On Tuesday, burglars attacked his home and shot Avant’s wife.
  • Beverly Hills officers were dispatched Tuesday evening to Trousdale Estates, a neighboring neighborhood, after a 911 caller stated that someone had been killed and was calling them about a shooting. 
  • Avant’s 54-year-old wife, Jacqueline Avant was taken to the hospital and later died.










Clarence Avant, a legendary music executive and producer of great music, was killed by burglars during a house invasion in an exclusive Los Angeles neighbourhood.

Beverly Hills police responded to a 911 call that claimed someone was being shot to death. They were sent to Trousdale estates in Beverly Hills at 2.30am Tuesday night.

Avant’s spouse of 54 years Jacqueline Avant died before the police arrived.

She was 81. 

TMZ was told by a family source that Avant’s wife was hit and killed when robbers entered Trousdale Estates house. 

Avant (90) was at home at the moment, however, it is not clear if he sustained injuries in the attack. 

He was accompanied by his wife, a legendary music executive, when he was inducted into Rock and Hall of Fame.

Nicole Avant is the daughter of Ted Sarandos, Netflix CEO.
