Glamorous Spanish tennis star Garbine Muguruza has been wooed by jet-setting Tom Ford designer Arthur Borges – just months after he announced the end of his marriage to top Finnish figure skater Kiira Korpi.

One-time Wimbledon and French Open champion Muguruza, 28, posed for photos with handsome Borges, a New York-based designer, after winning a recent WTA tournament in Mexico – and Borges has since been sharing romantic photos of the apparent new couple from a five-star resort in Anguilla. 

MailOnline was confirmed by Muguruza’s manager that they are actually dating. 

Borges, 37, who is Director of Made to Measure North America (Tom Ford), recently split from his partner of 11 years, Finnish figure skater Korpi, who’s known to her fans as the ‘Ice Princess’ – the pair announced their marriage was over in June.

Borges, the director of Tom Ford’s Made to Measure North America has recently divorced from Kiira Korpi, his Finnish-skating partner (pictured in 2017).

Fun-loving tennis player Muguruza has been enjoying a meteoric rise in her career, rising to third in the world.

Borges and Korpi wed in lavish ceremonies in 2017. They then announced that they would be splitting up in the early summer. She told her 91.400 Instagram followers, “Our journey together has ended.” 

“Eleven great years spent together has taught us much. We have enjoyed our life together and we’re grateful for our beautiful friendship which we will certainly continue to cherish.’ 

Korpi enjoys huge popularity in her native Finland, where she’s known as ‘jääprinsessa’ – the Ice Princess.  

A recent match at the Chicago Fall Tennis Classic at the end of September saw Borges taking his place in the player’s box alongside Muguruza’s team.

Following Garbine’s win in Mexico, Borges was a fashion executive who is known for his jetsetting style. 

According to womenstennisblog.com, the handsome fashion executive removed photos of his time with his former wife from his Instagram page around the same time as the tournament in Chicago. 

She is a tennis superstar who has won both the French Open and Wimbledon in 2016. 

On the court, her career has rejuvenated in 2021, after she found a rich vein of form that saw her scoop her first WTA Finals title in mid November, after she defeated Estonian Anett Kontaveit 6-3, 7-5 in Guadalajara, Mexico.

After the win, the Spaniard rose to the third spot in the world rankings.   

Reporters heard her say, “This is just one more proof that I believe I am actually at the best time of my career,” Muguruza stated, and added that she would be drinking Tequila to celebrate.
