Furious holidaymakers claimed they were left homeless after their certificate provider for Covid failed to deliver it on time.

  • Covid testing provider fails to deliver fit-to fly certificates on time, leaving holidaymakers “stranded”
  • Dam Health, an approved testing agency by the Government, was charged with not responding to phone or email calls.
  • The MoS was informed by a family that they had paid for another test to ensure their son, aged 13, wouldn’t be delayed on the flight.

Furious holidaymakers claim they were left behind yesterday by a Covid provider who failed to deliver their fit-to fly certificates on time.

Dam Health was accused by them of refusing to answer emails or calls. A family of four was flying to France for a ski holiday and had to pay to have their son, aged 13, tested.

According to the father, the tests were taken at 5:32pm on the previous day and results are expected within two hours. The next day, nothing arrived. There was no one to answer the phone, and we were not sure what to do. We had to book another test for £35 at the Heathrow drive-in centre as Gatwick had run out and then get back for the flight. It was chaotic.

Dam Health, which has testing centres around the UK, promises to deliver results from the £29 lateral flow antigen test in as little as two hours, with results by midnight for the £149 PCR test taken that day.

Clare Curran (32), who had an antigen test done to return to Ireland for her trip, claimed that she waited over 24 hours to receive a result from Dam Health in East London.

She said that she spent three hours waiting on the phone. “I am stuck trying to find another provider for my test.”

One woman wrote on Twitter: ‘Your customer service is beyond awful and your ‘results by midnight’ is a lie – I missed my flight because of you. “I’ve been waiting on hold for over two hours.”

Dam Health spokesmen said the company had “a solid procedure for investigating all complaints and responding directly to customers. We have made it our number one priority to reduce the spread of Covid-19. Our expert team has completed more than 900,000. Tests with 100% accuracy have allowed people to travel safely overseas with confidence that they have all the documentation.
