Carlos Marin, Il Divo’s tenor, won millions of admirers with his elegant looks and dazzling smile.

German-born Star, died in Manchester Hospital after succumbing to Covid-19.

He went on to find success in musical theatre, opera and film before being scouted by Simon Cowell for ‘popera’ supergroup Il Divo, alongside American tenor David Miller, Swiss tenor Urs Bühler and French pop singer, Sébastien Izambard.

The group achieved global success together, selling over 30 million records and selling out stadiums around the globe. They also became a favorite with grandmothers and mothers due to their classic, handsome looks.

Marin, unlike other global musicians, preferred to keep his private life secret. He spent 13 years with French singer Geraldine Larrosa, proposing to her the day before a surprise wedding at Disneyland, California.

Their marriage was dissolved three years later but they remained close friends. Geraldine was present with him during his final days in hospital and requested that fans pray for the ‘best friend of their lives’ and ‘world’s most talented singer’ while he battled for life.

The Olive Press reported that her lawyer appealed the sentence’s lightness, pointing out that he needed to alter his “work and living habits”.

According to some reports, the female fan developed a platonic love for Il Divo’s star after which she began to call his production company offensively and turn on him.

Following a court order, she made detailed sexual suggestions based on sadomasochistic methods.

One time, she called the singer’s aids more than a dozen times per day. After being rejected, it was claimed that the mysterious woman who was at the center of this case disguised herself as a businesswoman to hire Carlos. She then began sending the horrendous letters.

Lawyer for the singer claimed that her harassment caused Il Divo’s star to experience sleeplessness and emotional stress, and even made him afraid of leaving home.

Rosa’s defense team claimed that Rosa suffered from a mental disorder before her conviction, but the judge denied their claims.

Marin met Simon Cowell around the time of their marriage to be scouted for Il Divo by Simon Cowell, a classical crossover vocal group that he formed after hearing the Three Tenors.

Wanting to recreate the success of Luciano Pavarotti, José Carreras and Placido Domingo, Cowell conducted a two-year global search, which ended in 2003 with the signing of the American tenor David Miller.

Cowell ended their relationship with SyCo’s record label when the group had just finished a UK tour. Marin, however, was still in hospital.

Carlos, who had been ill since December 7, was tested for Covid soon afterward and taken to Manchester Royal Infirmary, according to his agent.

After being placed in an induced medical coma, he was connected to breathing machines and then put back into the hospital. It is not known when exactly that occurred.

The singer did not respond to his messages yesterday and is now being treated in intensive care.

‘[His]The agent also informed us that Carlos was immunized against Covid in Mexico. This Spanish news channel Corazon Corazon stated. It did not specify how long ago Carlos had been jabbed, the number of shots or which vaccine he was administered.

Mexico used a mix of vaccines. The majority were AstraZeneca/Pfizer, but significant amounts of Chinese or Russian shots were also administered.

Before his death, Il Divo had said they were ‘hoping and praying’ for Marín after the group were forced to cancel their UK tour.

Il Divo posted the following message: “It’s with heavy hearts that I have to let you know that Carlos Marin has been taken from us.

He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and fans. Carlos is the only voice and spirit that will ever be heard.

“For seventeen years, the four of you have been together on this amazing journey of Il Divo. We will be missing our dear friend. We pray for his peace and comfort. From David, Sebastien, and Urs.

Cowell led a torrent of social media tributes for Marin.

Cowell stated, “It is so hard to express how I feel now.”

Carlos Marin, whom I am deeply sorry for, has died. He lived a full and happy life. He enjoyed performing and had great appreciation for all the supporters who supported them from the very beginning. Carlos, rest in peace. Your presence will be greatly missed.

Lorraine Kelly, television host tweeted “This is so sad. Many times I had the pleasure of interviewing Carlos or Il Divo over the years.

“He was such an example of class. Thoughts to all who loved him.

Bruno Tonioli (a judge on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing) wrote that he was “devastated” by the passing of @ildivoofficial and @carlosmarin.

“We had the most amazing time creating the first @ildivoofficial concert 17 years ago. Great voice, great man. A true passion Spirit with wicked senses of humor. We will be sorely missing you.
