The couple had remained good friends despite their divorce three years after marrying in Disneyland following a relationship that had lasted more than a decade.

Geraldine stated that Carlos, who was resting at Saint Isidore in Madrid in his coffin and wearing an Armani suit at shows around the world, had been with Geraldine for thirty years.

“During the two years of pandemic, we had been together. It was our intention to wed, but it didn’t happen in the end.

As she shared her last FaceTime conversation with Carlos, the 44-year old actress and singer fought back tears.

Geraldine admitted Monday to Scarlett her 9-year-old son by Sergio Arce that Carlos was her godfather.

Sergio recently wrote a social media tribute, “Scarlett called You ‘Daddy’ Carlos. I’m prouder of that. His split from Geraldine has been described by Spanish press as “amicable”.

“You are an extraordinary godfather. You made me happy every time I saw her. I just knew she was going to be happy.

“Now, I am certain that you will take care of her in Heaven. Your kindness, generosity and humor were unmatched. We won’t forget you.

The comments come after Geraldine revealed she bid goodbye to the Il Divo star in an emotional video call when he ‘knew he wasn’t going to make it’.

She fought back tears at the wake, where she wore black, as she recalled her final FaceTime call with Carlos.

Geraldine stated, ‘Before I was intubated, he said goodbye because he knew that he wouldn’t pull through. It was the saddest picture in my whole life.

“He was kind and generous, and the best artist of Spain and all the world. It’s still unbelievable to me what has happened.

“I will continue fighting for the dreams of his and our shared dreams. I do not want to see him forgotten.

Geraldine offered no more information on when she was going to tie the knot again with her ex-husband.

Carlos was not romantically involved with anyone after his divorce from his wife in 2009.

Late on Sunday night, Geraldine said on social media: ‘Tomorrow is going to be the saddest day of my life.’

Following his death on December 19, at Manchester Royal Hospital, the 44-year old singer/actress described him as her ‘great love’.

Geraldine said last week in an Instagram tribute, along with a photograph of their 2006 Disneyland wedding: “We were going to recreate this moment.”

Her message, however, was misunderstood at the time. It was interpreted as confirmation of a second marriage. What she meant was only clear when she spoke about the planned second marriage.

She also wrote in Spanish, “It doesn’t matter because the universe will bring us together millions times.”

“It will be our millions of times. I have no doubt.”

“I love you all of my heart. Your goddaughter loves you like mad. Your presence is always at my and our families’ side, but it has left us with an enormous hole in our hearts.

‘I love you my darling. My soul is infused with your joy, your laughter, your affection, your humor, and your smile.

You are my great love, who is the heartbeat of my existence. You are my greatest love.

After the condition of the 53 year-old Innocence, a French-born musician, Innocence flew to Britain. He was then admitted to hospital and ended up in an intubated coma.

Rosa ended all speculation over the reason for the death of Carlos last week when she revealed that Carlos had been infected with the Delta variant. The virus had also attacked his lungs. He was placed in an intensive care unit in an induced state.

Alberto Martin was Carlos’ attorney. He helped him bring a crazed lover to court after she wrote a series of X-rated letters that left him enduring nights filled with death threats.

“We are not sure if Carlos died from the effects of his care or natural evolution. Carlos’ mom said the things she did out of desperation. But the truth is that they couldn’t keep him alive.

“It’s something we’ll need to analyse when all the medical records are available because we believe there was enough time to manage his condition and make things better so that he could recover and save his life, which was the most important thing.

Speaking on Spanish TV, Mr Martin claimed the singer had delayed going to Manchester Royal Hospital on after he fell ill until December 7 and hinted that could have played a part in the fatal outcome which left millions of Il Divo fans around the world grief-stricken.

The singer’s sudden death was described by him. As a bad dream that left him and his loved ones in utter despair.

Martin claimed that singers had taken every precaution to prevent the virus from infecting them, but that Mr Martin believes the singer was exposed to Covid in Gran Canaria after they visited Gran Canaria for a concert at the beginning of November.

It was not clear when Carlos had the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, which only requires a single shot followed by a booster jab at least two months later.

In Spanish, he stated that they didn’t expect to witness such an awful outcome.

El Mundo published separate comments from the Madrid-based lawyer, adding: “The family aren’t happy with anything because it’s heartbroken.

“We did not anticipate the situation nor the outcomes.

“We cannot explain why it happened. He had been doing well, his lungs functioned normally. But suddenly all of that changed.

“The outcome of the intubation was fatal.

“I heard Carlos’ mother say that maybe he could have been saved if he was in Spain.”

“We’ll see medical reports to find out why he’s not pulling through.

Carlos Marin’s Il Divo bandmates Sebastian Izambard, Urs Buhler, and David Miller shared the sad news on December 19: “It’s with heavy hearts that I have to inform you that Carlos Marin has died.

His family, friends and fans will miss him. Carlos is the only voice and spirit that will ever be heard.

Simon Cowell is the creator of the group that has sold over 30 million albums around the world since 2003. He was also among the people to pay tribute by posting on Twitter, ‘I’m finding it so hard to express how I feel now.

Carlos Marin’s death has left me devastated. He was a great person. He enjoyed performing and had great appreciation for all the supporters who supported them from day one. Carlos, Rest in Peace. Your presence will be greatly missed.
