The I’m A Celebrity stars returned to Gwrych Castle on Tuesday after being evacuated due to Storm Arwen and while it didn’t take long for things to heat up between the campmates, viewers fumed they were underwhelmed with the ‘boring’ return episode.
After taking part in the Bushtucker trials, Kadeena was in tears. Naughty Boy tried to stay cool when she gave him some cooking tips.
This comes three days after ITV’s extreme weather in Wales forced the show to go off-air for 3 nights. The celebrities were evacuated from the camp and placed back into quarantine.
Addressing the show’s return at the start of the programme, Dec quipped: ‘Hello! The castle is now back up and running after a hectic few days I’m A Celebrity is almost over with the clouds clearing.
We’re back! After being evacuated by Storm Arwen, the I’m A Celebrity groupmates returned to Gwrych Castle Tuesday. It didn’t take too long before things heated up. (pictured: hosts Ant and Dec discussing the return of the show).
Oh dear: Tuesday’s return episode saw Kadeena Cox breaking down after taking part in a tense Bushtucker trial
Ant said, “It’s so great to be back. Since Friday’s storm caused much damage. However, the castle looked great. These places are meant to be used for many years. It was a difficult task to bring the show back online, but the team performed an outstanding job.
With meals on the line after a weekend of living in centrally heated isolation, away from the camp’s makeshift camp, Arlene joined Kadeena to create the Bed Chamber Of Chills.
Their campmates agreed that Arlene, Kadeena, and Arlene were to compete in the latest star trial. The two then set off for Ant and Dec.
The boys soon realized they were going to be climbing on a bunkbed, before being plunged into darkness.
Even though the trial was scary, many viewers found the show boring. Others even turned off the TV after complaining the episode lasted five minutes less than the normal episodes.
You can’t compare it to the jungle. Huge disappointment,’ one fan fumed, while another wrote: ‘I’m A Celeb 2021 is officially dead.’
Another said, “I don’t understand why they continued with this series.” It’s boring.
Oh dear: Naughty Boy struggled to keep his cool with Kadeena after she offered him cooking tips
Reaction: However despite the scary trial, viewers were left underwhelmed with the show, branding it boring, while other even switched off entirely
A fourth commented: ‘Honestly I had to switch channels. The program is so dull and lacks drama. Kim Woodburn and Katie Price are back.
A disgruntled tweeter said, “I cannot believe that #ImACeleb tonight is on for only 1 hour 5 minutes while it’s like five days of footage,”
And another added: ‘I was hoping for more than only an hour & five minute episode after not getting one for three days.’
Ant told Arlene and Kadeena that the Bed Chamber of Chills was located behind the door at the start of their trail.
“The bunk bed is in the bed chamber. The top bunk must be taken by one of you, and the bottom by the other. There are eleven stars on the roof of your top bunk.
Grand return: Tuesday’s return episode saw Kadeena and Arlene take part in a tense Bushtucker trial together
Yikes: Kadeena and Arlene hopped onto a bunkbed before being plunged into darkness to secure coveted stars as snakes slithered over them
Ant said, ‘The bunk bed is in the bed chamber. You must choose the top and the bottom bunks. The top bunk has 11 stars.
To release the stars, the celebrity who is in the top bunk must maneuver the stars through the maze. The stars can be then dropped into a hole for the person at the bottom of the bunk.
“The star on the bottom bunk must then find it and put it in the rack.
Kadeena & Arlene were able to leave with impressive ten stars out of 11.
Impressive: Kadeena and Arlene managed to walk away with an impressive ten out of eleven stars
Kadeena, after the trial ended, wept when Arlene told her: “I was so determined to make it happen.”
Kadeena stated that she found her route, and was able to find where she wanted to go. I could feel stuff moving around… I’m not sure I was that calm. I’m buzzing.’
Returning to camp, Arlene quipped: ‘We could not get 11 stars…’ before Kadeena interjected: ‘We got 10!’
Dream team: Also in Tuesday’s episode, Louise and David took on the latest Castle Coin Challenge
According to the Telegraph Naughty Boy, their feat was “10 out of 11 stars” and they made us proud.
Naughty Boy became more irritable with Kadeena as Kadeena cooked the oxtail he had won in an earlier trial.
He offered some cooking tips to the music producer, and he said: “Kadeena, please, I’m just trying it out,” before telling Snoochie Shy that he’d never ever cut an oxtail. Before I’ve even got into it Kadeena’s telling me, ”Naughty you need to…”’
Tensions: However, tension rose between Naughty Boy and Kadeena later in the evening as he cooked the oxtail won at the earlier trial
Kadeena was not happy with Naughty Boy’s comments and said that he could just say the same thing to her. It was my intention to assist.
He responded, “The truth is, I don’t know what you want me to do before I cut it.”
Kadeena responded, saying that she was simply letting her know about a bone which was difficult to break. I’m cool not helping, I was just like, whatever…’
Naughty Boy looked at Snoochie then and asked, “That’s no rude is it?” Naughty Boy asked Snoochie if he wanted her to interpret it correctly. But Kadeena said, ‘It is cool.
Frankie admitted that she had been sleeping in her bag all morning and started the day with Frankie.
In the Telegraph, the ex-Saturdays singer wrote: “Something quite satisfying. Why? We’re all eating beans.
“When you are around everybody, it’s not a good idea to do that with your campmates.” Your sleeping bag might be the best place to do it.
In Tuesday’s episode of the podcast, Louise took on David and attempted to complete the Castle Coin Challenge.
Frankie made a confession. She admitted that she had been sleeping in her bag all morning.
Louise recited the scroll aloud and said, ‘The Lords ponies are hungry. They are hungry and they want to be fed. You will find red apples within each crat. Slide one of the buckets into each other’s bowl to find red apples. Then, you will be able to trot and claim your reward.
They won the coins, and they headed to Kiosk Cledwyn’s Ye Olde Shoppe. There, they had to decide between apple pie and Twiglets.
Camp asked the following question: “According to recent surveys, what percentage adults claimed they faked being bad at their jobs in order to avoid getting asked again?” Answer: A 20%, or B 37%
David laughed when David ran away with the four little apple pies.
Nightmare: This is the result of the ITV program being taken off-air for 3 nights due to extreme weather. The celebrities were removed from the camp and sent back to quarantine.
This episode is the second after it was reported that campmates received handwarmers following the storm in order to stay warm.
A source told The Sun: ‘Bosses know this is a programme where there’s an expectation from the viewers that the celebs aren’t in a holiday camp.
“But, they also have a responsibility to them, particularly for older contestants who are more vulnerable.
“Not everybody will use a heater but they can be used if needed.”
MailOnline has reached out to I’m A Celebrity for a comment.
After being evacuated by Storm Arwen, the celebrities returned to Gwrych Castle Tuesday.
But, the snowstorm that is forecast for the future could mean the stars’ return to camp may be short-lived as severe weather threatens the show.
It’s Back On: I’m A Celebrity host Ant and Declan described how stars discovered life after being removed from their camp by Storm Arwen. They also appeared on Tuesday’s This Morning
ITV was forced to stop filming three days ago due to extreme weather. The wind and rain had caused serious technical problems on the set.
On Monday, insiders told the Sun that the the storm had cost the show £1million in damages, due to breakages, staffing costs and loss of advertising revenue.
Declan Donnelly, the host of Tuesday’s This Morning explained to viewers how celebs kept their camp routines even when they were isolated.
He explained that the castle has been home for most of a week. All of them are very close friends. They couldn’t believe they had to go, and were desperate to get back in.
Arlene bought her sleeping bag, as she was sleeping well. Danny Miller has been sleeping on the ground since he isn’t comfortable in his bed. The two are eager to get back into the bed and complete the challenge.
Last week Frankie begged producers to let her wash her knickers because they had begun to smell of ‘fish guts and offal’.
Ant McPartlin was with Dec when he appeared from his cottage, Wales. He revealed that she had brought her undergarments to give them a freshen up.
Admitting they were ‘gutted’ that the storm caused the show to come off air, the duo revealed that only the castle itself remained unaffected as the storm ripped through marquees and tents.
The caller said that they had received a phone call Friday afternoon asking them to arrive on site as soon as possible. They also explained that the pre-recording of the program was necessary in order to avoid any satellite failures.
Dec said to Phillip Schofield, Holly Willoughby, and Phillip Schofield that the winds had decimated the tent base. This made the site unsafe.
The site was closed to all visitors. It was our only choice to end the show. It was just too much.
“We had no choice but to send the celebs back to quarantine. This has been quite an upheaval for the past week.
Ant said, “They worked around-the-clock.”
“The castle is all that matters. We took celebrities out of the castle because we didn’t want to lose them.
“They don’t have phones or internet, and they are disconnected from the rest. This is just the way we want it.
He said, “They were completely gutted to go. Arlene took her sleeping bag. Danny has been sleeping on the ground because it’s uncomfortable in his bed.
“They’ve been doing it for one week now and are ready to go all the way.
Ant continued to say that the crew is worried about the weather forecast.
He stated, “There’s a slight concern because I believe there’s more poor weather coming next week.
“But temperatures are dropping, maybe some snow, some frost. That’s why I believe we can handle it. “Touch wood, touch wood.”
You must get me back there! Due to storm damage, the ITV hit show was canceled for three nights. The celebrities were then placed in quarantine following a week at Gwrych Castle due to safety concerns. Now they are back at camp (photo last week).
Dec said, “We wouldn’t get that in Australia.”
Ant crossed his fingers, and said “Let’s speak slowly but let’s keep going.”
Prayers for more freak weather might be in the offing from the beleaguered contestants as the hosts wasted no time in introducing their latest critter infested challenge.
This comes as I’m A Celebrity bosses described the damage caused by Storm Arwen a ‘£1million disaster’ as the show was kept off air for its third night running on Monday.
Producers of ITV’s series, Money-Making Series: Three episodes lost. They were devastated by the destruction caused by the weather.
Lost advertising revenue, staffing costs and other expenses have also contributed to the seven-figure figure. The team worked tirelessly around the clock trying to fix the problem.
The Sun was told by a show source that it had been “a total nightmare” over the weekend.
“Some very expensive equipment was destroyed in the storm. Not just some marquees moving over there and there.
“Everyone works every hour of the day – with hired workers that means more pay. It’s been described on site as the £1million disaster. It was a costly few days, to put it mildly.
