Earlier on the show, the pair transformed into mad scientists as they risked painful electric shocks during Friday night’s coin challenge.

Both the EastEnders diver and EastEnders star earned six coins. This covered the cost of each campmate in the mad scientist challenge.

Matty was required to use vision distorting glasses because it wasn’t a normal activity.

The pair had to use long, extra-long tongs for picking up the ingredients. If they spilled the liquid their campmate received an electric shock.

The Olympic gold medallist said at the beginning of the revolting activity: ‘Everything’s upside down, my left’s my right… it was really, really confusing.’

He said afterwards that it felt like he was on a boat.

Adam said that Matty drank the liquid and was taken by shock.

The two men decided to switch over, but Adam was not very good at pouring liquid.

Matty said, “I was feeling a bit of shock.”

Matty joked that Adam was being directed by him into the wall at one point. Matty got another surprise when Adam hilariously threw the potion to the floor.

They persevered despite their differences and earned the coins.
