The Met Office warns that there are worse things to come in the vicinity of Gwrych Castle, starting at midnight due to a severe storm.

After the initial heavy blasts, security guards had to be removed from their positions by Gwrych Castle’s eleven celebrity guests to retrieve or reposition the fences that were damaged.

Signs that had been detained with sandbags were blown onto the roads so cars could avoid them.

The extreme weather warnings forced the show’s producers to take emergency measures to protect its stars who are staying in the 19th century castle.

ITV has warned celebrities that further disruptions are likely tonight by the fierce weather blast at 70mph. This storm, named by the Met Office ‘Storm Arwen by the Met Office, was issued to the stars.

Built in the 19th century, this castle sits high above an open field on top of a hill. The castle is less than 1 mile away from Liverpool Bay and borders the Irish Sea.

Met Office added that flying debris could cause injuries or death to people.

Large waves, beach material and other debris thrown on to properties and roads along the coast can cause injuries and death.  

Red alerts, warnings of danger to life, have been posted in Scotland and the northeastern England for the first time since 2013. They warn Britons to be prepared for floods, snowstorms, and power outages.

From Friday at 3:00pm to Saturday at 2 AM, the red warning will apply in areas such as Newcastle-upon-Tyne and Edinburgh.

The Met Office has warned that public transport will not be available in the zone. They also said roofs might be torn off or ‘power lines cut’.

The Met Office advised commuters that temperatures fell well below the average Friday to -4.4C, in the Lake District. This was due to the Met Office warning of “flying debris” which could cause havoc on roads, bridges, and railway lines.

ITV said it was making preparations for the heavy winter storm and had advised its show’s stars that safety measures may have to be taken.

An I’m a Celebrity spokesman told MailOnline: ‘Show bosses are monitoring Storm Arwen and we have contingencies in place to cover all weather scenarios.’

Diana Pritchard, an elderly resident who lived close to the castle with her husband Ian, stated that they had been warned about the approaching storm. The hurricane would continue for 9 hours and will cause severe damage.

“I wish they took care of celebrities up there. It’s going to be pretty cold windy and wet and who knows what the storm will do to the trees and the structure of the walls around the castle.’

Sharon Roberts (41), a Rhyl charity worker, said: “I live near the coast. I’m really worried about the sea and what it might do to the houses alongside as the waves are going to be pretty strong.

“But, I would not like to live in the castle. They’re not going to get any sleep that’s for sure.

‘I’ve been watching the show and they seem pretty grumpy with low morale. It makes me wonder how they will react.

‘It isn’t going to help them in terms of spirit. But I’ll probably make good TV. The show hasn’t been as great this year because no one really knows who most of people are, but a storm hit in the castle will be very dramatic.’
