At first glance, this stunning kitchen looks like it could belong to any Hunter-wearing, Barbour-clad countryside mum, with it’s enamel red AGA, exposed beam and wood-top island.

If you look closer, you’ll see the signs of an ex-hippy. You can see signs of a former hippy: the word “Peace” hangs on the wall. There’s also pink and purple bunting over the oven. Even fairy lights are attached to the mahogany beam.

Joss Stone (34), a former teenager soul sensation, is the resident of this home. He stunned viewers yesterday when he appeared on Lorraine with a completely new look.

She is gone now with her long, curly brunette locks that reached to the shoulders.

She’s also ditched the nose ring, hipster clothing and heavy eye make-up, instead opting for a natural, relaxed look, a cosy white T-shirt that looks like it could be bought at M&S.

Joss shares her home in Devon, the same one she grew up in, with her boyfriend Cody DaLuz, and their daughter Violet Melissa DaLuz, who turns one this month. Three rescue dogs are also part of their family.

Following their split, Masked Singer’s winner bought the country cottage from her parents.

From North Kingstown, Rhode Island, Cody is a former Marine, who has previously shared his support from Donald Trump and been vocal about ‘loving life’ in the UK.

Wow: Joss Stone was unrecognisable as she presented a cooking segment on Lorraine on Wednesday

Wow. Joss stone was unrecognizable as she presented a Lorraine cooking segment (pictured right and left in 2005).

Joss is clearly a lover of cooking and has stocked his kitchen with expensive gadgets. The centre is home to an AGA, which makes it stand out.

The ovens can cost up to £16,000 and are an essential for any upper middle-class home.

Joss doesn’t stop at one oven. Joss also has another hob-top and an additional oven. This is seen by Joss in a Greek-style marble busk.

The Masked Singer is clearly passionate about cooking and has taken her 443,000 Instagram followers live through tutorials on baking.

She shared photos of fresh baked scones that she had just taken yesterday with her neighbour (with cream spread before jam, Devon way).

They were whipped up using her Dualit hand mixer, which cost around £75.

Joss is a lover of slow, simple life and has filled her home with antique gadgets.

The baking scales of her oven are not digitally digitized, and the microwave in her kitchen is manually controlled.

She also has an eclectic mix of gadgets,  a Moka pot – the Italian device for making countertop coffee which cost up to £60- sits on the shelf while she also bravely places a 1920s-style lamp atop the microwave.

Clearly a fan of cooking, Joss' kitchen is full of expensive gadgets. Notably, an AGA takes pride of place at the centre. The ovens can cost up to £16,000 and are an essential for any upper middle-class home.

You will find plenty of storage space with the mix of glass and off-white cabinets.

Interior design expert Benji Lewis told FEMAIL:  ‘The first thing that’s clear is that this is a kitchen belonging to a home maker.

“It is a very welcoming space. The owner doesn’t hesitate to show the practical realities of cooking life. There are strong undertones of visiting the weekly food market and the aroma of baked muffins. After a cross-country walk, Aga sleeps in her lap.

Joss, who signed her first record contract at age 14, has taken a backseat to the rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle and now enjoys making things. However, there are still nods towards her hippie roots.

‘The stripped and distressed painted floorboards are possibly period to the house, but in any case they instantly conjure up that blissful relaxed bucolic sentiment of barefoot comfort in the kitchen, The surfaces are all soft – with not a hint of limestone or granite in sight, so the feel is gentle and I should imagine the acoustics are accordingly good, i.e. Benji stated that there is not even a squeaking echo.

I love that the AGA is burgundy colored. It’s such a great choice and notably confident given the investment it would have been, when so many people would opt for something safe like grey.

‘The burgundy says “This is my home and I’m going to personalise it as such”. Joss is an ideal combination of softly blue-grey paint walls, vanilla cabinetry and natural oak beams. The pop of burgundy makes the space stand out.

FEMAIL spoke with Benji Lewis who is an interior design expert.

Joss, who was just 14 when she signed her first record deal, has clearly taken a step back from rock 'n' roll life instead favouring homemaking and making, but there are still many nods to her hippie roots.

Benji added: 'Interestingly the position of the sink - which most often gets placed in front of the window - is unclear but what Joss has done is place her hob in front of the window, views are accessible therefore and of course the tasks of stirring pots and the like are made more pleasurable, assisted by plenty of natural light'

Benji stated that the sink’s position – most frequently placed right in front of a window – was not always clear. Joss, however, has moved her hob to the front of the windows. The views from the window are easy to see and make stirring pots, etc. more fun with the natural light.

‘The home is seemingly old and the interiors might naturally be dark, the stone mullioned windows and natural timber beams certainly indicate as much, but that hasn’t prevented the owner from working out how to get the best from the light situation.

Joss put her hob right in front. The view is clear and makes it easier to stir pots.

Cody DaLuz, Joss Stone’s boyfriend is he?

Joss, Cody and Violet share their Devon home.

The couple have remained private and it’s not clear when they met or started dating – he was first pictured on Joss’ Instagram on August 14 2020, when the pair had an ‘accent war’ debating how to pronounce mashed potatoes.

She revealed that they had been expecting their first child two months later on her podcast.

Cody expressed his support for Donald Trump on Cody’s Instagram account – far from Joss’ hippy PETA-supporting ways.

In the days leading up to the 2020 Presidential election, he said voting for Trump was an ‘easy choice’.

He was born in North Kingstown in Rhode Island and is a former Marine Contractor.

“The overhead velux is a light source that can be reflected from outside. It also allows for additional illumination of the pitch ceiling.

The fact that things are not always matchy-matchy can be a sign of someone who is willing to mix vintage with modern. Colourful bunting provides a fun pop of mixed colour, and the “Peace’” sign suggest someone who retains a love for jumping in their combi van and heading to a festival.

‘There’s a clear suggestion that this kitchen belongs to someone with a strong and confident enjoyment of cooking and home making. The accessories on display certainly suggest as much – the weighing scales, the pot of wooden spoons, the mismatched mixing bowls and the chopping knives.

‘The AGA has multiple ovens, and in the event of that being turned off in the warmer months, she’s got the back up not only of her hob but also the microwave on the sideboard.

The ambiance is harmoniously complemented by artificial light. Joss has apparently concentrated on side lighting rather than overhead, for evening illumination; aside from the single pendant over the hob area, the lighting has been layered, so that the inside of the glazed wall unit is softly lit, the worktop gets a wash of light from the concealed downlight in the underside of the wall unit and then there’s a table lamp positioned on the microwave to provide an additional glow

“The bottom line is that it would seem like a wonderful place to be after the daylight goes out. Traditional Shaker cabinetry is a safe option for an older home such as this.

The units can be painted with a light yellow or vanilla color. Additionally, the unit’s glazed surface allows for the indirect glow of ambient lighting. These barstools make a great choice for casual seating.

“The distressed paint finish gives them a rustic feel, and the one with an upholstered top emphasizes the fact that they can be mixed and matched. It is possible that the door knobs and cabinetry might have not been there when Joss first moved into the home. The units could then be given an overhaul with a paintbrush.

“The worktops may be a similar wood laminate to the one in this room, but they still fit the soft textures of the rest of the space.”
