Guests attending the wedding of Prince Philippos of Greece, the godson of Princess Diana and the Duke of Edinburgh, with Nina Flohr, the daughter of a billionaire, have shared snaps of the lavish event in Athens over the weekend.
The prince, 35, who is the youngest child of the last king and queen of Greece, Constantine II and Anne-Marie of Denmark, exchanged vows with Nina, daughter of Swiss businessman Thomas Flohr, for the third time.
The couple first wed last December in a small civil ceremony in St Moritz, Switzerland, followed by a high society springtime celebration in Cambridgeshire.
Although both were intimate affairs, and there were only the two fathers present at the first, the third wedding at Metropolitan Cathedral of Athens was a full-blown celebration.
Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice were there to witness the big day. They shared photos on social media showing a lavish wedding breakfast featuring wild fennel and golden grouper fillet, as well as ‘late-harvest tomato salad’ and homemade ravioli.

For the big day, guests wore monochrome gowns. They took pictures on an orange carpeted tent decorated by fairy lights and hanging greenery.
The couple’s menu included simple design with navy writing and featured their monograph.
Throughout the event, tables were decorated with vibrant flowers and fruits including pomegranates or berries.
Princess Olympia of Greece also shared online snaps of the flower girl’s outfits, which included pretty cream dresses and gold sashes.
The little girls wore flower crowns of yellow, white, or blue flowers. They also carried small white bouquets.

Philippos and Nina had made the guestlist for the wedding of Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank in 2018, while Nina is also good friends with Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, Princess Beatrice’s husband.
Eugenie opted for a black dress designed by Peter Pilotto which featured gold button detailing, and completed the look with a Gabriela Hurst clutch, Carvela heels and sunglasses.

Among the guestlist were King Constantine of Greece (Prince William’s godfather) and Queen Anne-Marie of Denmark, who still use their royal titles despite the abolition of the Greek monarchy in 1973.

Their daughter Princess Olympia, 25, was accompanied by Peregrine Pearson, the rich heir to Cowdray Park.
Other Brits who traveled included Alice Naylor Leyland, Vogue writer, and Tom, her husband. They hosted wedding No. 2 at their Cambridge home, Stibbington House.
Alice was named one of Tatler’s 2018’society Swans’. Tom is the son Baronet Sir Philip Naylor Leyland, part a land-owning family that controls the 17th-century Talbot Hotel in Malton, North Yorkshire.

Philippo’s father Constantine I was king in Greece until he was removed from power by a military coup.
According to Hola! Hola!, his aunt Queen Sofia of Spain, paternal aunt of the current King Felipe, was to attend the ceremony as well as Princess Elena from Spain, the groom’s cousin and godmother.
Another godmother and the groom’s maternal aunt, Princess Benedikte of Denmark, was invited, as has godfather Kyril, Prince of Preslav. Margrethe II, a Danish maternal aunt, was invited to attend with her son Crown Prince Frederick, and daughter-in law Crown Princess Mary.
They are not related but royal protocol states that King Willem Alexander and Queen Maxima, Crown Princess Victoria, Crown Prince Daniel of Sweden, Crown Prince Haakon, Crown Princess Mette Marit, Crown Prince Haakon, and Crown Prince Haakon were all expected to attend the cathedral on Saturday.

Born in 1986 at St Mary’s Hospital in London, Philippos was raised in a 13-bedroom stately house on the edge of Hampstead Heath where Princess Diana was a frequent visitor with Prince William and Prince Harry.
Although he is known for being private and prefers to avoid the spotlight, he has made appearances at many high-profile events like the wedding of Crown Princess Victoria in Sweden in 2010 or her sister Princess Madeleine 2013.
The Georgetown University graduate now works as a hedge fund analyst in New York, while his future wife founded the nonprofit marine research facility, the Bazaruto Center for Scientific Studies (BCSS), in 2017.
The couple were married for the first time in December in a private ceremony. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, their fathers King Constantine, 80 and Thomas Flohr 60 were unable to join them.
Nina wore a large, white bow in her hair. She opted to wear a smart, two-piece suit for their first wedding.
She is the daughter and businessman from Switzerland, Thomas Flohr. He founded private jet charter company VistaJet.
King Constantine and Crown Prince Pavlos, his son, have no official remit but are still active participants to royal life in Europe.
The family is closely associated with the British royals because King Constantine, Prince Charles’ godfather, and Prince William’s second cousin are both from the same family.
