Use RICE to remove mold from stainless steel water bottles

Interior stylist, Anita Cunningham shared her tip for cleaning stainless-steel water bottles and taking out any mold.

Anita Birges of Sydney claims that it is shocking to discover how much mold builds up in bottles. She says only a few household items are needed to get rid of the grime.

First, she pours one-third of a cup uncooked rice into an stainless steel water bottle.

Next she squeezes only a small amount of dishwashing liquid into the bottle full of uncooked rice

Then she adds a tiny amount of dishwashing fluid to the container containing uncooked rice.

Anita adds half a teaspoon of dishwashing detergent to the rice, then Anita screws the stainless-steel water bottle lid tightly.

Then she shakes the bottle of soap and rice thoroughly until the moldy inside is gone.

Anita tops the rice and dishwashing liquid with half a cup of water and then screws the stainless steel water bottle lid on tightly.

She then shakes up the water bottle full of rice and soap thoroughly to eliminate the mouldy interior

She shakes the bottle, then pours the dishwashing liquid and rice mixture over a sieve and into the sink.

After shaking the bottle well, she pours out the dishwashing liquid and rice mixture over the sieve and into the sink.

Then she cleans and rinses thoroughly the stainless-steel bottle with water.
