Ioan Gruffudd went ‘Instagram official’ with his new girlfriend Australian actress Bianca Wallace, 29, on Tuesday, by sharing a cosy photo of the two of them on a film set, looking blissfully happy.
And some fans couldn’t help but notice that the Welsh actor – along with looking in great spirits – looked especially glowing in the snap, despite the bitter bust-up happening publicly between him and his estranged wife Alice Evans.
His wife Alice is now claiming Ioan he had a three-year affair with Bianca, and in her most recent Twitter attack alleged that Ioan, who filed for divorce from Alice in March, told her that he would leave her if she ‘gained weight’.
Yet the drama hasn’t deterred the actor from ‘smiling again’ – which he credited Bianca for in his Instagram post – and experts have suggested his new relationship has led to his ‘glow-up’ due to the ‘bounce-back effect’.
Even celebrities weighed in to compliment Ioan with Tamsin outhwaite, writing: “You look amazing, and young somehow,” while Timothy Omundson asked: “How did you get more handsome?”

Ioan’s “new love glow” could be due in part to his emotional and psychological health. Feelings like butterflies when you’re in love can be good for your body and skin, which is its largest organ.
‘The release of oxytocin can reduce inflammation and irritation in the body and will help lower the body’s production of cortisol, which is the body’s stress hormone/response.

‘He appears to have a sun-kissed glow to his typically dark locks. This could have been caused by exposure to the sunlight during a recent getaway. He might have also visited a stylist to get subtle highlights.
‘In terms of styling, not only does his new relationship hair make him appear younger, but he’s taken a much more carefree approach by using fewer products than seen previously.’
While his locks might be improving his looks, award-winning aesthetics and skincare expert Amish Patel of Intrigue Cosmetic Clinic, also suggested he has a ‘youthful glow to his skin’ thanks to appearing ‘visibly relaxed’.
‘Diet and healthy eating have a big part to play when it comes to glowing skin, but that’s not the only crucial element,’ Amish said.
‘Stress can negatively impact our appearances, including our skin, so breaking up with someone may come as a relief and not only remove anxiety but also give the person a renewed sense of vitality and a greater emphasis on self-care and focusing on more “me time” to do things for themself.’
