Jeanine Ann Roose, a famous child actress in It’s a Wonderful Life’s holiday classic, has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.

Little Violet Bick was played by Roose in this iconic 1946 movie. 

According to TMZ she passed away in her Los Angeles home at the end of New Year due to health complications.

According to TMZ, Jeanine became ill with an infection in her abdomen in recent months.  

Roose, who was a child actor until the 1940s, is perhaps best remembered for her role in It’s a Wonderful Life as Little Violet.

The 1946 Christmas classic tells the story about George Bailey who, despite his dreams and desires to help others, never gave up on his family.

An angel called Clarence intervenes to save him from financial ruin.

Since she was a youngster in Hollywood and worked in television, film, and radio, Roose holds a number of acting credits. At eight years old, she was hired on The Jack Benny Program.

Jeanine’s only film role was as Violet Bick, in It’s a Wonderful Life.

Roose continued to UCLA, where she studied psychology. 

Jeanine’s death comes just days after Betty White, the legendary comedian and actress of comedy died. White turned 100 on January 17, 2017, just a few days before her birthday.  

The TV icon, who is said to have died at her home on Friday, was not battling any particular ailments and did not have a sudden illness, a source close to the star told TMZ.

White 100th birthday film will continue to be available as it was originally planned.

In a statement, Betty White: 100 Years Young’s producers stated that plans were being made to make the film special for Betty’s birthday. It will be a celebration of Betty’s incredible career and life.
