Jerry Hall believes Andy Warhol was a pop-art legend who once said to her that she should ‘leave Sir Mick Jagger’ and marry’some rich guy’, despite the Rolling Stones’ star’s worth millions.
Since 1977, when the band was at its peak of touring success, she had been in a 22-year relationship with the singer.
However, she acknowledged that her dear friend (at 58) thought she could be better. She urged her not to continue with long-term relationships.

“I met Andy Warhol for the first time in Paris, in 1973. Andy took six portraits. She told The Times that he took many millions of photographs of me.
“He loved me for my Southern accent.” He told me that I should leave Mick Jagger to marry a rich man.
Jerry is married to Rupert Murdoch (90), a billionaire newspaper tycoon. She told Jerry how the couple used to meet in Studio 54, a legendary New York nightclub.
They chose to watch people and be boring, while Mick and other ‘naughty stars partied down in the basement.

She replied, “I never went down to the basement. Andy didn’t either. However, terrible things took place there.”
People were addicted to cocaine. Andy did not take it, and neither did I.
After a five-month romance that was whirlwind, Jerry and Rupert were married in an intimate ceremony in London on March 2016.

Murdoch is married to Jerry for the fourth time. Hall’s marriage to Jerry was his first. Hall had an unofficial ceremony of marriage in Bali in 1990 with Jagger.
