First Lady Jill Biden stunned in a sparkly lilac fitted dress by Ralph Lauren at Saturday night’s G20 dinner, which took place at the 16th century Quirinale Palace in Rome.
At the dinner, Sergio Mattarella, the Italian President hosted, the spouses and leaders were split up.
So Dr. Biden sat next to French President Emmanuel Macron, while President Joe Biden was seated next to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
Macron and Dr. Biden were previously close friends when they represented their respective nations at the opening ceremony for the Tokyo Olympics in August.
After the ceremony, the first lady was joined by the French president for several sporting events.
At Saturday dinner, G20 leaders and spouses were treated to a selection of marinated salmon and risotto (pumpkin and white truffle), roasted artichoke and seabass.

Jill Biden (upper-left) was seated at G20 with French President Emmanuel Macron. They had been together in July, when they represented their countries at opening ceremonies of the Tokyo Olympic Games.

Earlier Saturday, Jill Biden joined the other G20 spouses Saturday for a private lunch at Villa Doria Pamphilj, looking friendly with U.K. Prime Minister’s Boris Johnson’s wife Carrie as they walked through the grounds.
According to the first lady’s spokesperson, Johnson and Biden walked side by side as they took a group photo. Johnson wore a Zara blazer in bright red and a camel dress while Johnson wore a brown blazer.
Begona, the Spanish Prime Minster Pedro Sanchez, walked in close proximity.
A few spouses were seen at Rome’s Colosseum on Saturday. However, the American first lady was not there.
Friday was a relaxing Friday for Biden as he sipped Chardonnay in a Rome restaurant with Brigitte Macron, the French First Lady.

The first two ladies were almost twins, as the petite blondes wore navy suits with navy heels.
Both blondes were small and wore navy suits paired together with navy heels.
They got together at a restaurant called Il Marchese, ahead of their husbands’ first meeting since France was blindsided by Australia pulling out of a submarine deal to join a security pact with the United States and the United Kingdom.
Biden, 70, said afterwards that Macron, 68 and he were ‘wonderful’ together.
She cooed, “It’s nice to have two friends together, just as sisters,”
The two women enjoyed Chardonnay and small bites.
Biden was coy when asked what they ate or drank.
She stopped and said, “Well.” “Practically nothing.

Jill Biden will meet First Lady Macron as part of her busy schedule over four days in Italy.
Biden, whose family comes from Italy spoke glowingly about the host country for this year’s G20.
“We’ve been to Italy so many times. I love Italy, Brigitte loves Italy. Who wouldn’t love Italy? It’s a beautiful country that we could love, right? She said.
CNN reported Friday that the Bidens spent Thanksgiving in Rome after Beau, their son, died in 2015.
As she arrived at the restaurant, located on a narrow street near the Tiber river, Biden was asked about her earlier meeting with Pope Francis she attended alongside President Joe Biden.
She told reporters outside the restaurant that he was amazing and that it was magical.
Macron, who arrived in second place, agreed to answer the question “Yes!” when Dr. Biden asked if she was excited about meeting with Dr. Biden.

She and Macron had The Bidens spent time together at a spouses function at the G7 in Cornwall, June. This was the Bidens first overseas trip since January.
Earlier Friday, Biden had tea with Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi’s wife Serena Cappello at the Chigi Palace, while President Biden met with the prime minister.
After a weekend of private spouse events, the first lady will do a solo trip to Naval Support Activity Naples on Monday, where about 8,500 U.S. troops work.
The first lady will then visit Naples Middle High School, a school run by the Department of Defense. She will meet with teachers and students, and then deliver a speech.
The event will combine Biden’s Joining Forces’ initiative which she started in 2011 with former First Lady Michelle Obama and restarted earlier this years, and her career, an English teacher.
Joining Forces provides support for military members, veterans, and their family members.

Biden continues to teach classes at community colleges – making her the first woman to hold an outside job.
Biden was also busy on her first solo overseas trip – representing the United States at opening of the Tokyo summer Olympics.
There, the first lady held court with then Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga and his wife Mariko, watched the Olympics with French President Emmanuel Macron, attended an event with heads of delegations at Tokyo’s Imperial Palace and hosted an Olympics watch party for American diplomats at the ambassador’s residence in Tokyo.
She stopped by Alaska and Hawaii to advocate for COVID-19 vaccinations.
FLOTUS was also present at a barbecue for military personnel and their family members in Honolulu as part of Joining Forces.
