Stonewall is being tried by a judge for misrepresenting law.

  • Akua Reindorf has been appointed to the Equality and Human Rights Commission
  • Stonewall, she claimed, failed to protect free speech after University of Essex invited two speakers accused of being transphobic while they followed the University’s advice
  • Ms Reindorf is criticized for suggesting the university reconsider its relationships with the group

Part-time Judge Stonewall was accused of misrepresenting law. He is now running for the job as a watchdog on equality in this country.

Akua Reindorf accused the LGBTQ+ charity of failing free speech when it dropped two speakers who were accused of being transphobic. Akua was asked to serve on the Equality and Human Rights Commission.

Transgender activists were harshly critical of her suggestion that the university reconsider its relationship with the group.

Akua reindorf (pictured), who accused LGBTQ+ charities of not upholding free speech rights when two speakers were dropped by the University of Essex for being accused of transphobia has been invited to serve on the Equality and Human Rights Commission.

Others argue that she should be allowed to sit on the board because it would allow for free speech in all parts of the country.

According to The Telegraph, a Whitehall source stated that Ms Reindorf had a “track record of fighting discrimination.”

According to some reports, her appointment was made by Liz Truss who is also a Foreign Secretary, EHRC Commissioner and Equalities Minister. She will announce the news in the next few hours.

Ms Reindorf is also a barrister and held a review following the University of Essex’s refusal to invite two women professors for talks in 2019.

She suggested the university rethink its ties with the group and was met with staunch criticism from transgender activists

Her suggestion that the university reconsider its relationships with the group was met with strong criticism by transgender activists

The Telegraph reports that she discovered that the university policy regarding supporting transgender and nonbinary staff states that any letter about trans issues written by professors can ‘amount or lead to unlawful harassment.

Ms Reindorf stated that the policy was based on an incorrect understanding of law.

Stonewall examines the policy annually and doesn’t seem to have taken up its incorrect summary. I believe the policy states that Stonewall preferred the law to be as Stonewall sees it.

Stonewall maintained that Stonewall’s guidance was based on the EHRC’s guidelines, as confirmed by The High Court.
