Kamala Harris has been mocked for appearing to put on a French accent to speak to scientists at a COVID lab in Paris during the vice president’s visit to mend fences with France.
Harris on Tuesday visited the Institut Pasteur science lab, where Americans are working alongside Europeans to tackle COVID-19 and where her Indian-born mother researched breast cancer.
Harris talked about her passion for science and how she was dismayed at the inability of politics to be as methodical or logical as these experiments.
Harris stated, “In government we campaign with The Plan,” with what many thought was a French accent in order to talk about ‘The Plan’.
The Plan!
“And then we have to protect ‘The Plan’ in an environment where there are likely to be glitches. We need to review the plan and make adjustments.
Donald Trump’s Secretary for State Mike Pompeo claimed that Harris is humiliating the United States.
He said that the clip of Vice President Harris was more embarrassing than it is on the international stage to Fox News’ Sean Hannity Wednesday night.
Our adversaries see weakness in that. They don’t see serious people, but they do see determined people – which is exactly what happened for the last four years.
