After her interview on Ellen DeGeneres, Meghan Markle received a roasting from Australia’s Today on Friday.
Host Karl Stefanovic said the Duchess of Sussex was acting like she was ‘the first mum ever’ when she spoke about her five-month-old daughter Lilibet’s teething troubles.
Co-anchor Allison Langdon scolded him for being so insensitive, saying ‘it is important stuff’ for mothers when their children are teething.
Ouch! Meghan Markle copped a roasting on Australia’s Today show on Friday after her latest TV interview with Ellen DeGeneres
After playing a clip from the Ellen interview, Stefanovic sarcastically gave the thumbs-up and said: ‘It’s like she’s the first mum ever!’
Father-of-four Stefanovic then suggested things weren’t too hard for Meghan and Prince Harry, who only have two children, Lilibet and two-year-old Archie.
Today’s entertainment correspondent Sam Rubin also pointed out she likely has assistants helping with the kids at her $14million Montecito mansion.
Taking a swipe: Karl Stefanovic (host) said that the Duchess was pretending to be ‘the best mum ever’ as she talked about Lilibet’s five-month-old teething problems. Allison Langdon, co-anchor of the show, criticized him for his insensitivity and said that it was important material.
Not fans: The outspoken presenter went on to say that even though Meghan didn’t drop any ‘truth bombs’ about Harry’s family on this occasion, her appearance on the Ellen Show was still an insult to the royals after her infamous tell-all with Oprah Winfrey in March
Stefanovic said that Meghan had not dropped any “truth bombs” about Harry’s relatives on this occasion. However, her appearance at the Ellen Show in April was still insulting to the royals following her notorious tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey.
“Look, it was good to see that she wasn’t just dumping the royals,” Langdon said. Langdon defended Meghan, saying that it was helpful to gain an understanding of her home life.
‘Even just by being there she is dumping on the royals,’ snapped Stefanovic, who has sided with the Firm throughout the Megxit saga.
He said, sarcastically, “Anyway, she likes me, and I’m turning to the corner.”

Earlier in the show, Stefanovic, 47, had thrown viewers a curveball by saying he’d ‘come full circle’ after seeing a ‘new side’ to Meghan in her latest interview – only for Langdon, 42, to say he was talking ‘bollocks’.
The segment began with Nine’s U.S. correspondent Alison Piotrowski recapping Meghan’s chat with Ellen, in which she discussed her early acting career, family life and friendship with Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank.
Stefanovic responded with mock sincerity afterwards: “Oh, Ellen! I’m looking forward to what happens next.”
“I’ve made it all the way. She has a different side to me. I find it a great side. Her self-reflection is more evident and she’s sharing more of her relationship with Harry. I find it wonderful.
“I have come full circle with Meghan Markle.”
It’s not what she believes! Stefanovic (47) had previously blasted viewers with his statement that he’d come full circle after seeing Meghan’s new side. Langdon, 42 however, claimed he was only talking ‘bollocks.
Langdon was confused and replied, “That’s proper bollocks!” You just told a huge lie.
Stefanovic replied dryly, stating that she didn’t want to continue the joke.
Ellen heard the Duchess tell Ellen that Harry and she were happy together in California, as she talked about Lilibet’s problems with teeth during her television interview.
On Thursday, she appeared on The Ellen Show. This was eight months after her controversial sit down with Oprah Winfrey in Suits. It left the Royal Family in serious financial trouble.
