“Kate has the most beautiful skin I have ever seen. Her complexion is radiant and healthy. The cold, crisp air has made her skin look peachy and fresh. She also added a cream blush contour to highlight her cheekbones.
“She keeps her makeup fresh by using a bbcream (beauty cream), which provides a soft, sheer coverage and conceals any small imperfections.
Kate opted for a deep brown eyeliner which she smudged and defined her lashes with to create a dramatic eye look which perfectly complimented her dazzling emerald gown.
Kate explained, “Overall it’s a very undone look she’s going for.” Her eyes look perfect for evening. She uses a brown, deep-brown eyeliner. To open her eyes up she flicks inwardly.
“She has an eye shadow that is light silver/white above her eyelids, which reflects light. Also her eyebrows are well filled for definition.
“Her eyelashes are defined, especially under her eyes. You can also see that each hair has been lightly coated with mascara. Kate chose a glossier red lip for the final touch.
Tom, a stylist and consultant to brands, said that the Duchess ditched her usual messy, bouncy hairstyle for something more casual and trendy. This made her look ‘warmer and lighter’.
He said, “This is Kate’s most unique hairstyle.” “Not only does her hair look great swept across the shoulders, but her texture is far more natural than the glossy hairstyles we know.
The textured appearance was carefully designed to look natural and give Kate a younger, more playful vibe. He also explained the change in Kate’s image.
His explanation was that although the curls were carefully styled, they look nearly like she has naturally curly hair. Her stylist would have used a smaller curling iron and taken small sections of curl. Then, he will alternate the direction of curls.
This creates more volume while looking more natural. It gives off an energetic, younger look and gives off more fun energy.
‘It’s interesting that the side swept style does not appear to be ‘pinned’ or secured over her shoulder — which would appear more regal and stiff, but instead Kate has simply swept her curls over her shoulder in a much more casual way than we have seen before.
“There has been a shift in the way Kate has presented herself to us lately, she seems more open and friendly, and her style is more casual and relaxed. This feels authentic.
