Variety reports that Scott won’t be performing at Day N Vegas Festival because he’s ‘too distraught’ to perform.

Travis was set to perform at the Day N Vegas Festival on Sunday November 13, at Las Vegas Festival Grounds.

This performance, which was cancelled due to safety concerns, was held with general admission. There were no allocated seats.

During the surge, eight fans including a 14-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl were crushed to death.

Many concertgoers experienced cardiac arrests, and one police officer was also stabbed with an epidermic needle.

Travis performed for another 30 minutes, as many people died and the crowd shouted “Stop the Show!”

Troy Finner from the police department, who is acquainted with Scott, felt that the latter had done something good for the community and visited Scott in his trailer on Friday before the concert.

A source said that he had told Megastar that he was concerned by the energy among the crowd.

What happened: The chaos unfolding at Astroworld

Astroworld chaos: What did it all mean?

The city officials were aware that the rapper’s fans had become raucous following the Astroworld Festival. Three people were taken to hospital in that stampede two years prior.

Houston increased the number of officers on the police force in advance of the concert. Live Nation hired private security.

However, this didn’t stop hundreds of people rushing past security barriers to get into the venue Friday night prior to the festival.

Although the show was ended 30 minutes early, it took half an hour for the fire department to declare a “mass casualty incident”.

Fire Chief Samuel Peña said on Sunday that Scott and the organizers could have stepped in and paused the show.

One person can truly call for and receive a tactical stop when there is a problem, it’s the performer. They have that bully pulpit and they have a responsibility,’ Chief Peña told the NYT.

‘If somebody would have said, ‘Hey, shut this thing down and turn on the lights until this thing gets corrected’ — and that coming from the person with the mic — I think could have been very helpful.’

Scott and Live Nation refused to speak out on specific details but said they would cooperate with police investigations.

Scott claimed he was devastated by the death of his loved ones and could not “imagine” anything similar happening. He has been twice convicted of encouraging others to rush onto the stage and jump security barriers at concerts.

As the chaos continued, Drake returned to perform the last songs.

One concert-goer claims he suffered severe injuries after a concert and is suing Scott and Drake.
