Lorraine Kelly gave a rare insight into her 29-year marriage and to Steve Smith. It revealed their sex lives are ‘toddling along nicely’.
Steve, a daytime television presenter who married her in 1992, said that intimacy can be maintained by having confidence in oneself. She also mentioned that older women can feel invisible.
The 61 year-old said that although she had gained a dress-size after snacking with her husband, she isn’t concerned about the extra weight and doesn’t even own a scale.

‘It is all about being confident in yourself. Mirror: Many older women feel invisible, but she doesn’t.
She stated that she has gone from a size ten down to a size 12, but she will not be counting calories. She will instead try to lose weight through Zumba classes, and avoid sugary snacks.
“I won’t beat myself up about it. I don’t have scales, so I don’t know how much weight I have put on. I always go by how my clothes fit.
“I don’t believe calories should count, but I’m not stressed about the extra pounds.”
In 1992, the television presenter married Steve, a cameraman. He has remained famously out of the spotlight.
Steve, 61, who shares daughter Rosie with Lorraine, has famously stayed out of the spotlight and she has previously praised her husband for ‘picking up the slack’ and enabling her to juggle her busy work and home life.
She told the publication in September: ‘He picks up the slack and always has. He is the reason I can do what I do. He makes me laugh a lot. He is a great dad and very kind.
Lorraine added: ‘His idea of hell on earth would be at something like a premiere,’ laughs Lorraine. It would be like putting needles in his eyes. It does help. It must be strange to be able to walk down a red-carpet with someone like that.
The host also praised her partner’s support during her perimenopause.

The ITV star occasionally posts snaps of Steve, who is a TV cameraman to her Instagram. But their relationship has largely been private.
She said: ‘It was absolutely horrible. I was completely lost. My husband didn’t understand what was happening. He replied, “What can I do, and how can I help?” He was the one who said, ‘You need to get some assistance.
In September 2020, Lorraine looked on cloud nine as she shared a rare glimpse of her husband Steve as they celebrated their 28th anniversary together.
Rosie, their daughter, treated the couple to afternoon tea at The Ivy restaurant. Lorraine shared a snap on Instagram.
Both were happy as they held up desserts with the words “Happy Anniversary” written on them.
The chat show host also shared a photo taken by the couple on their wedding day, as they left the church after saying “I do”.
Lorraine wrote: “So this happened 28 year ago!” Happy anniversary to Steve, my husband. He makes me laugh and is always there for my needs.
