Lydia Leonard, who is reportedly set as Cherie Blair, will be appearing alongside Bertie Carvel and Tony Blair in The Crown.
Series five of The Crown, which will be released in the 90s and follow Tony’s rise to popularity as a politician, and eventually becoming Prime Minister in 1997, will be set.
39-year-old Lydia’s role as the barrister has been reported by The Sun, with the much-anticipated season coming to screens in 2022.

Lydia is most famous for her role as Suranne Jones’ lesbian love interest in Gentleman Jack.
Coincidentally, Suranne’s husband was played by Bertie in BBC’s Doctor Foster. He also has experience playing British politicians, having starred in Coalition with Nick Clegg.
Lydia will be joining a host of stars to join the new cast for this new era.
