Met Police They were summoned shortly after 4 pm today in response to reports about a male suffering from stab injuries.
Paramedics tried to save the elderly man, but the ambulance and the air ambulance arrived on the scene.
The murderer is still at large. Officers appeal for any dash cam or bike helmet footage taken by anyone in that area.
Video footage posted online shows paramedics running for the victim.
Later, forensic specialists in blue overalls were seen loading various items into vans while dozens of police officers guarded it.
The elderly man was described by his neighbors as someone who “always used smile” and that the area is quiet.

‘I’m in close contact with @MetPoliceUK who have an additional uniformed presence in the area. Anybody with relevant information should come forward.
The police are trying to notify his next-of-kin.
An 80-year-old man was killed in Ealing West London. A murder investigation is now underway.
Air ambulance and ambulance were dispatched to the accident scene. An elderly man was discovered by paramedics, who tried their best but could not revive him.
According to Detective Chief Inspector Jim Eastwood of the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, “My officers are trying to figure out what’s happened to this person and need your help.”

“We have been supporting Specialist Crime’s colleagues, as they attempt to determine the perpetrators of this terrible crime and understand their actions.
“The public’s support is essential. The community and police must collaborate to find violent criminals and take them off our streets.
My officers will continue to be present on the scene. They are there to help and protect you – if you have information that you want to share please approach them and tell them what you know.’
Simran Advani (25), a senior property manager, lives close to the scene of the stabbing. She said that she saw an old man riding a mobility scooter and that he ‘always smiled’.
She said, “He was a very nice elderly man.” He was a regular block walker, but he always walked on the roads and not the sidewalks.
She said, “This street is quiet. You don’t hear any traffic noises.” A man in his 80s could be shot and killed here. This road is populated mostly by elderly people. You don’t see or hear any younger people.
A neighbour said that it was not pleasant and is usually quiet. It is out of sight.
‘I feel sorry to his family. I’m not completely shocked at the volume of stabbing that you hear in the news.
“There is not much foot traffic, and there aren’t many people going. The area has playgrounds and a school. This is where many people park their cars.
He claimed that there was a bus station nearby but not that many people were walking around the area.

To the horror and dismay of passers-by, a man was attacked in his Korean restaurant off Oxford Street today.
Outside the restaurant, a man in his 50s was detained on suspicion that he had committed murder.
This is the 58th homicide in London so far in 2018.
