One father paid tribute to his sweet little girl, who died in a tragic accident at the house of her best friend.
Charlie Gent shared that he feels as though he has let down Connie, 11 years old.
Connie Bennett was her friend and she also found the bodies of John Paul Bennett, Lacey’s thirteen-year-old brother. Terri Harris, their mother, was 35.
ITV News’ Mr Gent said that Connie was a sweet and special little girl. She was my little friend. She was my rock.
He added, “I feel like she was my hero and I let them down.”
She loved singing and liked Connie’s music. TikTok was a passion of hers. Everybody she met was touched by her kindness.
Her best friend was Lacey. She was all she talked about when she visited my house.
“We used to fight about trivial things like who had the last piece of chocolate. She wasn’t expecting anything, but she was thankful for all that happened.
“She was the most kindest girl you could ever meet.” The worst thing about it is that she won’t get to meet me again.
Derbyshire Constabulary reported that bodies were located after responding to calls about safety at an address at 7.26am.
