Manchester City footballer Benjamin Mendy will file for charges of rape, sexual assault against four other women to be DISMISSED next Tuesday

  • Benjamin Mendy (27) is being charged with 6 rapes as well as 1 sexual assault.
  • According to his legal team, a request for dismissal of charges was made by him next week
  • The alleged charges were filed between August 2021 and October 2020.
  • Louis Saha Matturie is the co-defendant and faces six rape allegations as well as one accusation of sexual assault
  • They are both due to stand trial in January, but the judge stated that it was unrealistic. 










Benjamin Mendy, Manchester City’s star footballer will try to get the rape accusations against him dropped next week after his legal team makes an application at court.

A total of six rapes were committed by the 27-year old defense attorney.

These charges are against four people over 16 years of age and were alleged to have been filed between August 2020 and October 2021.

During a brief hearing at Chester Crown Court today, Mendy’s legal team said there would be a ‘substantial’ hearing next Wednesday which would include an application to dismiss charges against him.

Co-defendant Louis Saha Matturie, 40 – described as Mendy’s ‘runner’ at a previous hearing – is charged with six counts of rape and one of sexual assault.

Fourteen complainants aged 16 or older are the subjects of his charges. These allegations were alleged to have been filed between March 2021 – August 2021.

Neither defendant was in court or appeared via videolink for today’s hearing.

Mendy’s coaccused, Louis Saha Matturie (44) of Eccles (Greater Manchester), has been arrested with 2 additional counts for rape. He also faces 1 count of sexual abuse. He is now facing six charges of rape as well as a charge for sexual assault.

Mendy and Matturie will be tried next January 24th, 2019. But Judge Patrick Thompson stated that this date was ‘unrealistic.

After being accused of four counts for rape and one for sexual assault on August 26, the French foreign national was taken into custody by HMP Altcourse in Liverpool.

The five offenses are all alleged to have occurred at the defendant’s Cheshire home.

The accused is accused of three rapes on a woman in October 2012.

He is accused of raping a second victim while on August police bail.

In January 2021, the accused was also charged with a sexual assault.

Mendy from Prestbury was last month charged with two more counts of rape.

These offences are alleged to have occurred in Macclesfield and Cheshire on July 24, 2012, and August 23, 2013. 

Christopher Stables, Christopher’s lawyer at the hearing said that he had repeatedly denied all allegations.

Premier League champions City spent a reported £49.2million signing Mendy from French side Monaco in 2017.

He earns £90,000 a week and lives in a £5million mansion in Prestbury, an upmarket village near Manchester popular with fellow players.

He was part the winning France World Cup squad of 2018, but did no play in final. Since signing in 2017 from Monaco, he has been a part of 75 Man City appearances.

Mendy was present in Man City’s two first games against Leicester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Tottenham Hotspur this season. However, he was not available to play for the third match against Norwich City.

His next match was against Arsenal. He had already been arrested.

Pep Guardiola of City revealed Mendy’s injury last September.

The left-back was later removed from the city after being charged.

The club released a statement saying that Benjamin Mendy was suspended while an investigation is conducted.

“The club cannot comment further until the legal proceedings are complete.
