Two people were injured in an ‘terrifying’ attack by a masked gang of eight men armed with MACHETES storm family homes.

  • The Machete-wielding gang broke in to a Walthamstow, London family home
  • The residents were able fight back and left the suspects empty handed.

After storming a family house in a ‘terrifying attack’, eight men with machetes are on the loose.

After the break-in that left two people injured, officers are asking the public for help in identifying the masked gang members.    

The Metropolitan Police issued CCTV images of four men they wish to speak to in relation to an aggravated burglary on Brookscroft Road in Walthamstow, North East London. 

According to reports, the group stormed the house at 5 a.m. on April 1.

Four people were threatened during the robbery and asked to turn over any valuables.

In the CCTV footage, you can see the men covering their faces with hoods, hoods, and Covid-19 masks.

The residents were able fight back and the suspects fled empty handed.

Two victims sustained minor injuries in the fight. Both of the victims were taken to hospital, and then discharged.

Officers arrived on the scene and conducted a forensic exam. They recovered CCTV footage and made statements from the victims.  

The force discovered another aggravated burglary at Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, as part of their investigation.

After reviewing the circumstances, it was determined that both of these offences would be investigated by the Met.

PC David Havard from Waltham Forest’s burglary and robbery unit said that it was a frightening experience for the family and that they are committed to finding those responsible.
