Tube passengers killed in shooting incident 2005
Cressida Dick was the commander of Gold Command and oversaw the operation which saw an innocent victim being gunned down on July 22nd 2005.
Jean Charles de Menezes, a Brazilian electrician was shot by security officers as they searched for terror suspects. He entered Stockwell Underground Station.
The Met was later found guilty of several errors in relation to the tragedy two years later, but Dame Cressida was not.
She supported her officers, stating that they had followed the information given to them at the time. According to sources, the room in which the disastrous operation went wrong was described as “utterly chaotic”.
Jean Charles de Menezes was the victim of the terror attack on the Brazilian electrician. Surveillance agents are looking for him.
‘Culture of cover up’ over fantastist Nick
Operation Midland saw the targeting of celebrities after a fantasist falsely stated that he was a childhood victim of paedophile rings.
Taking the preposterous claims of Carl Beech – aka ‘Nick’ – at face value, Met officers searched the homes of former Tory MP Harvey Proctor, Lord Bramall the former chief of defence staff, and Lady Brittan, widow of the former Tory home secretary Leon Brittan.
In March 2016, Operation Midland fell apart. Operation Midland collapsed in March 2016. Beech was later found guilty of perverting justice and fraud, and sentenced to 18-years in prison.
Sir Richard Henriques (retired high court judge) conducted an inquiry and found that the operation was prone to more than 40 failures.
A damning report later revealed that most reforms had not been implemented by the Met and that Dame Cressida was pressured to resign after she had assisted in the first operation.
Sir Richard called later for an investigation of five detectives. He said that confidence in the criminal justice systems had been shaken.
Priti Patel, the Home Secretary of India is being pressured to launch a new series of independent investigations into Midland amid allegations of Met cover-ups.
Dame Cressida has not given up on this issue. In February’s Mail bombshell interview, Lady Brittan lashed out at the Met for its “culture of cover-up and flick away” under Commissioner. She has repeatedly supported Steve Rodhouse (the serially bungling senior officer responsible for Midland). More developments regarding the scandal at Midland are anticipated in the coming weeks.
Eco mobs enjoy a smooth ride
Many people in Britain were stunned when thousands of protestors against climate change brought London to a halt in 2019.
Roads surrounding Parliament Square, Waterloo Bridge and Oxford Circus were blocked for many days. However, the police didn’t seem able to interfere.
Later, Dame Cressida stated that Extinction Rebellion arrived in greater numbers than anticipated and employed new tactics. However, she acknowledged that police could have responded faster.
Much of Britain was stunned in 2019 when central London came to a complete halt due to thousands of climate protesters
Axe death corruption
Daniel Morgan, a private detective was found murdered in 1987 by an axe stuck in his skull.
His murder has never been tried and convicted.
The Met was described last month as “institutionally corrupt” and Dame Cressida was censured personally for obstruction after an eight-year independent investigation.
She was identified as the one who delayed the panel’s access the the police database.
Alastair Morgan’s brother called last week for Morgan to resign.

Gun cop abducts and murders Sarah Everard
Last week, PC Wayne Couzens was convicted of the murder Sarah Everard. Dame Cressida said that his actions had “sickened and angered” the Met.
Couzens is a former diplomatic protector officer who abducted Miss Everard from South London Street in March.
Later it emerged that 12 police officers had failed to probe previous Couzens incidents of inappropriate exposure.
The key question that Dame Cressida must answer is: How was Couzens admitted into the Met? How was vetting done?
Her actions at the vigil for Miss Everard, Clapham Common was also criticised by her.
Sir Thomas Winsor later reported that Met officers had acted “lawfully, sensitively, and proportionately” in a report.
Ask her about her top brass
Since her appointment as Met director four years ago, Dame Cressida was responsible for a variety of questionable senior appointments.
Three years ago, Sir Stephen House was retired and she appointed him as her deputy. This came after several controversies had led to his resignation from Chief Constable of Scotland.
Helen Ball is another important ally and is an assistant commissioner. He is her protector and enforcer.
Harvey Proctor accused Ms. Ball, of hindering legitimate complaints concerning Operation Midland.
Incrediblely, Dame Cressida even promoted Matthew Horne, the Deputy Assistant Commissioner at Essex Police who was found guilty of bullying, to become head of professional standards.
Selfies taken beside bodies
After the horrific, unprovoked murders of Nicole Smallman (27), and Bibaa Henry (46) in a Wembley park last June, Dame Cressida acknowledged that there were’much more’ things to do to increase trust in the police force.
After the woman was last seen alive, 36 hours later, officers weren’t sent to find her.
Two police officers were also charged with taking photos of the bodies of the victims while they were supposed be protecting the crime scene.
Mina Smallman was the mother of both women and a former archdeacon. She claimed that because her daughters were black, police made assumptions about them.
The Old Bailey convicted Danyal Hussein (19) of women’s murders last week.
Last June, sisters Bibaa Henry (46), and Nicole Smallman (27) were killed in a Wembley park.
