Reservoir Dogs’ actor Michael Madsen, the son of his mother, has been declared dead. He committed suicide in Hawaii.

Hudson Madsen, the 26-year-old godson of Quentin Tarantino, died from an ‘apparent self-inflicted gunshot,’ according to The Sun.

A spokesperson for the Department of the Medical Examiner (Honolulu) confirmed that Hudson Lee Madsen (26) died from a gunshot injury to the head.

Hudson’s mother DeAnna Madsen, 61, was traveling to Hawaii to deal with the tragedy, a source told the publication.

His wife Carlie is his survivor. He had lived in Wahiawa since August 2019, after he was discharged from the U.S. Army, where he had allegedly spent some time in Afghanistan.

Madsen, who was stationed at Oahu’s Schofield Barracks, was promoted in March.

Carlie went through surgery on Monday, January 15. She also paid tribute to her husband who supported her.

“I just wanted to thank my incredible husband! On Instagram, she posted the following.

“Yesterday was my surgery to remove a breast tumor. My surgeon was very patient and kind throughout the whole procedure!

“We spent about seven hours at the hospital yesterday, and during my surgery, he took me to Target and bought me flowers, comfortable pajamas and some of my favourite candy, as well as a card. He was also amazing with helping me recover and for that I am so grateful.

‘I also want to thank my family and friends that have reached out to make sure I’m okay and to check in on me! You are all my family.

On Instagram, Carlie shared that the couple had an official wedding at Cheyenne Mountain State Park in Colorado in June 2019.

“It was one my happiest and most interesting days of my entire life.

“We were having an outdoor ceremony in the middle of a severe thunderstorm, and everyone could not hear us.”

“I had been puking until about two minutes before I went to the toilet, and then I was able to walk down the isle.

“We were forced to turn off our DJ at the end of the reception, but luckily a new, better DJ arrived.”

“We nearly got kicked out our reception area because people were caught trying to sneak alcohol in.

“But even with all that, it was still one the most memorable days in my life. I got the chance to share the celebrations with my family and friends as well as marry my best friend.

“Thank you everyone who made it possible and it was an unforgettable day that I will always remember.

And thank you for being my amazing husband. You are my rock through all of this. You are my rock.
