A former Miss Great Britain has lost eight stone after a difficult breakup. She said it was ‘totally okay’ to dump a partner that has put on weight if they’re not ‘willing’ to get back into shape.

Jen Atkin, who was crowned the beauty pageant champion last year, spoke on Good Morning Britain today about Alice Evans claims that Ioan Gruffudd, her estranged husband, said he would leave her if her weight rose.

The columnist from Ulceby in Lincolnshire said that it was acceptable to leave someone who isn’t ready to get well again – especially if they don’t like you anymore.

Queen MoJo, a body confidence coach and appeared on Jen’s morning program, said it didn’t matter because ‘weight isn’t a personality trait.

Jen transformed from 17 stone to 9 stone after the breakdown of her first serious relationship, fearing that she wouldn’t meet someone else.

Alice Evans, actress, was pictured Wednesday before she made shocking claims about her husband wanting her to leave if she gained weight.

She said: ‘I’m not saying that if your partner gains weight you should leave them straight away, but if they’re not willing to get healthy again, and we need to stop looking at just their looks by the way, it’s about health as well, if they’re not willing to get back in shape, and not willing to do it together, then I think it’s totally acceptable.

‘…Let’s let them off and find someone you like. When you find someone who loves and accepts you for who you really are, you lose weight, become healthier, and get the perfect revenge body.

She added: “You must be compatible. If one is interested in health and fitness, but your partner isn’t interested in health and fitness, you’re probably not compatible.”

“You should surround yourself with people who share your interests. It’s important to realize that it’s not about how you look but what you eat, how you spend your time, and whether you enjoy the same things. If one person is lazy and the other is active, it won’t work.

Queen MoJo, a body confidence coach insists that weight gain should not be reason for someone being dropped.

She said, “I don’t think it should matter. Because weight isn’t an individual trait. It doesn’t mean that I am lazy just because I have gained weight. I’m fit, fat, and healthy.

Jen won the longest-running pageant last year in the UK after losing 8 stone. Jen did this by giving up takeaways and eating healthy food. Jen also exercised five days per week.

Struggling to fit into her clothes, Jen began walking regularly, spending hours in the gym and used YouTube to follow workouts including HIIT, running and weightlifting, before being approached by a personal trainer offering additional help.

She accepted the single life and, while her friends were busy with their relationships, she would spend time looking at food packaging to make better choices. She stated that she doesn’t count calories but is careful about what she eats each morning.

She was crowned Miss Scunthorpe and quickly became Miss England’s runner-up in 2018. She was also named Miss Great Britain 75th at the glittering national final in Leicester last February.

On Thursday, the actress, 50, launched another Twitter attack against the Welsh actor, 48, after revealing her young daughter is ‘inconsolable’ over her father’s new romance with Bianca Wallace, 29,

Alice claimed that Ioan, who filed for divorce in March from his wife citing irreconcilable conflicts as the reason behind their split told her more times than once that he would leave her “if she gained weight”.

Her comments were in response a tweet that read: “Some words of caution for @BiancaWarren, new side chick and marriage destroyer… don’t gain an inch of weight.

@IoanGruffudd loves his women to be anorexic. It’s time for the thighmaster to pull out the cigarettes.

Alice replied to the tweet by making a row of laughing faces and insisting that the claims made by the Twitter user were true.

She added, “You’re right.” Over the years, he told me many times that he couldn’t bear ‘fatties’ and would leave if I gained weight. He was probably right this time.

MailOnline reached out to Ioan’s representatives for comment.
