A female molecular scientist from UC Berkeley argued that trans people aren’t women and shouldn’t be treated legally as such. Citing examples of trans women being locked up in change rooms or prison cells, she said trans women were not considered women.

The geneticist argued that legally treating trans women as women, and allowing them into changing rooms and prisons, means women have put a man’s comfort ahead of their own safety – claiming that the behavior of men is inherently different than that of women.

She said that women have become so enmeshed in misogyny, the men’s security has taken precedence over their safety. This is what I find most bizarre in my whole life.

“They (transwomen) are not interested in being held in men’s jails,” she stated. Men beat their partners to death. That’s not something women can do.

The debate, moderated by Peter Boghossian, author and professor of philosophy, was held in April at UC Berkeley that posed the phrase: ‘Trans women should be treated as women.’

The geneticist strongly disagreed with the claim, first arguing that trans women are not women, because ‘being male or female is developmental, and you cannot go backwards.’

A second participant was a female aspiring molecular geneticist who agreed to the claims. The third participant, a male, started on the “disagree” line, but later moved to the “strongly disagree” side.

A molecular geneticist participating in a UC Berkeley debate argued that trans women are not women and should not be legally treated as such, citing women's safety fears of trans women in changing rooms and prisons

Participating in a UC Berkeley debate, a molecular geneticist argued that transwomen are not women. He cited women’s safety concerns about trans women in prisons and changing rooms as reasons why they should not legally be treated like such.

When asked by the moderator why she strongly disagreed in the claim, the geneticist responded without hesitation: ‘Because I’m a molecular geneticist.’

Her comments continued, “Being male or female is a developmental process. You can’t go backwards. It is impossible to change your sexuality, just like it is not possible for you to do this.

The geneticist appeared to get emotional while talking about the subject, telling the moderator: ‘I’m sorry this bothers me so much. My heart is beating.

Then, she spoke out about transgender women in prisons and changing rooms.

“I went to my gym to change in the ladies’ room, and there was a guy there. He’s wearing makeup and hoop earrings. That’s not what a woman would do while working out,” she said.

Moderator: He’s unfamiliar with the changing rooms of women and asked if this is a common behavior.

Her response was: “No. Women don’t beat one another to death.” But men do.’

The geneticist claimed that in prisons in California and across the country, women are getting raped and impregned by other ‘women.’

“They (transwomen) are not interested in being held in men’s jails,” she stated. Men beat their partners to death. That’s not something women can do.

The geneticist claimed that in prisons in California and across the country, women are getting raped and impregned by other 'women'

According to the geneticist, California prisons are filled with women who have been raped or impregnated by other women.

Another participant, a woman, an aspiring molecular geneticist, agreed with the claim

An additional participant was a female aspiring molecular scientist who agreed to the claims

A third participant, a man, initially stood on the 'disagree' line but moved over to 'strongly disagree' by the end of the discussion

An additional participant, a man who was initially on the disagree’ line, moved to the strongly agree’ side by the end.

The trans woman should be legal treated differently to women. She cited the example of being allowed to alter their gender to that of a female driver’s license.

She said that if a man can get F on his driver’s license, and he is arrested, then they will put him in prison with other women. “And his hands and body are stronger than his arms, so he is able to beat this woman to death.”

The video of the debate – which was held earlier this year – was posted this week by Women’s Voices on Twitter, bringing in both support for the geneticist, but also some backlash for her comments.

One commenter said: “I wanted to hug her. The emotion in her voice made my tears up. This is so relatable.

Another said: ‘She’s like some kind of superhero to speak out this way at BERKELEY. She shouldn’t have to be such because what she’s saying is just FACTS/reality but here we are.’

One user said, “Gender identity is an enormous shackle.” You are bound to have more boxes than you’ve ever experienced. It causes mental distress, and it is a source of endless, ineffective rumination. It has the power to flatten and devour all aspects of human life, including our masculine boys and female girls. It is a prison.

A user shared her opinion on the geneticist. Another participant wrote about another female at the debate with a different viewpoint.

“They each added tremendous value. Indirectly, the younger woman articulated how life experiences can help us understand human behavior. She doesn’t fully understand the implication of the TWAW doctrine, but I think she will eventually.’

Following news of a transgender prisoner having impregnated 2 of her female colleagues at a New Jersey women’s prison, this woman revealed she attempted to take out one of her testicles using a razor. She had been misgendered at the men’s facility.

In an August 18 post on her 'Justice 4 Demi' blog, transgender inmate Demi Minor revealed she ended up in the emergency room after trying to remove her testicle with a razor

Demi Minor, transgender female prisoner, wrote August 18 on her Justice 4 Demi’ blog that she had to go to the Emergency Room after trying remove her testicle by using a razor.

Demi Minor, 27 years old was taken from Edna Mahan Correctional Facility of Women in Union Township (GSYCF), along with male prisoners in June when guards found out about the pregnancies.

Minor, currently in a 30 year sentence for stabbing her father to death and is complaining that she was mistreated, abused, and denied recognition of her gender by staff at her new jail.

She posted August 18, 2008, on Justice 4 Demi. In it she said that she was trying to commit suicide by using a razor.

“When I started to bleed, it was not like I thought about dying. Minor said that Minor thought only about getting relief from the pain he felt.

“Being in prison for men amplifies my pain that I felt once… It’s all awful.

Minor was 16 years old when he was sentenced to his first prison term. He began to change into a woman at Mahan in 2020, and was released from the male prison.

The 27-year-old has claimed she has been abused at her new prison, the Garden State Youth Correctional Facility (GSYCF), where staff are refusing to acknowledge her gender identity

According to the 27-year old, she claims she suffered abuse at her Garden State Youth Correctional Facility. Staff refuse to recognise her gender identity.

Minor, 27, previously revealed she was placed on suicide watch because she had tried to hang herself while she was being transferred to GSCF (pictured) after impregnating two inmates at her old prison

Minor, 27 years old, previously disclosed that she was put on suicide watch after she tried to hang herself during her transfer to GSCF (pictured), following the insanity of two prisoners she used to be in prison.

The 800-inmate Mahan facility began housing transgender women – including those that have yet to undergo gender reassignment surgery – last year after a lawsuit brought by an inmate and the ACLU. There are now 27 trans prisoner.

Minor said she started feeling ‘hopeless,’ and ignored’ at GSYCF July 28. She was asked to confirm she is transgender despite providing staff with medical records stating that she has been ‘on hormonals for years’.

Minor was born Demetrius Minor, a boy, and was just 16 when she broke into the home of her stepfather Theotis Butts's home in Gloucester Township, New Jersey

Minor, who was born Demetrius Minor (a boy), was 16 when she broke into Theotis Butts, her stepfather, Gloucester Township, New Jersey.

According to her, the chair of this committee later informed her that some things could not be biologically changed. She suggested that she is a man regardless of whether or not I have surgery.

I ignored her comments. However, the truth was that everything she said was hurtful. It was difficult not to weep in the meeting.

“I began cutting again and used a razor to make an incision to take out my testicle. My head was telling me to let the pain stop. It was my only desire to get out of this. They have no idea what I’m going through.

“Instead, if your penis is a man, then you should be held in a male prison. She added that this is what central offices are concerned about.

Minor stated she had been diagnosed as having gender dysphoria. This means that she is “five times more likely” to commit suicide. But she also admitted that sometimes, she would rather be elsewhere.

Minor was first jailed at the age of 16, but started to transition into a woman in 2020 and was transferred out of the male prison system to Mahan

Minor

Minor was initially jailed when he turned 16 but began transitioning into a woman at Mahan in 2020.

Gender dysphoria has been diagnosed in me and I am 5 times more likely than others to commit suicide. These thoughts I keep hidden. I’ve often kept my thoughts to myself.

Minor claims that men have written her letters asking her for sexual favors since her transfer and she is now living in some “dark areas”.

Edna was her ‘one and only family’, she said. She also claimed that Edna is a “stuck in an ugly body” she hates.

Minor, in apparent reference to the possibility of two women getting pregnant, wrote that Edna went through many depression nights and she often wanted to love people.

“I just never realized it could have such disastrous consequences,” she wrote. For the hate that has erupted against my community and others I care about, I am to blame.

Minor was born Demetrius Minor, an infant boy. She was 16 when she entered the Gloucester Township, New Jersey home of Her stepfather Theotis Butts.

According to NJ.com, Minor had been taken in by Butts as a fosterchild, however, he was not living with Minor at that time.

Minor, aged 69, attacked Butts several times before fleeing to New York, where she was eventually arrested.

Minor pleaded guilty to manslaughter and carjacking when she appeared in a New Jersey courtroom as a 16-year-old. She is serving a 30-year jail sentence

Minor pleaded guilty at the time she was 16 to carjacking, and manslaughter. Minor is currently serving a sentence of 30 years in prison

Minor’s wife was Latonia Bellamy (31) a 31-year old double murderer, who became pregnant in Minor’s womb.

Bellamy, her cousin, and another man were 19 years old when Nia Haqq (25), and Michael Muchioki (27) attacked and killed each other in Jersey City. The couple had unloaded their gifts from their car around 3:00 AM on Sunday, April 10, 2010.

Bellamy, quoting Rihanna’s song, wrote in a blog post that Minor had posted.

Oklahoma Public Schools make it mandatory that all Oklahoma students, kindergarten through college, sign biological sex statements if they wish to take part in state-funded sports.

———————————————————————————————————————

Oklahoma’s public schools now require students to sign affidavits confirming their biological sex and not their gender identity if they wish to play in school sports.

According to the new Oklahoma ‘Save Women’s Sports Act’, which Kevin Stitts signed March 1, these affidavits conform with Oklahoma’s Republican governor. Students must have a ‘biological sexuality’ to be allowed to compete in athletics teams. This includes middle-school, high school and college female-only sports.

Fox News reports that parents of Woodall Public Schools in south-east Tulsa became aware of the affidavits after they circulated via social media. This mandate is applicable to all district students, kindergarten through high school for the new 2022/2023 school school year, set to start on August 11.

This is Erin Matson (a self-described feminist writer) sharing a copy the affidavit. Oklahoma Public Schools makes it mandatory that all Oklahoma students who wish to take part in sporting activities, kindergarten through college, sign biological sex consents.

This policy was first brought to the attention of parents by Erin Matson who is self-described as a ‘feminist writer’. She’s also the executive director at Reproaction which works directly to improve access to abortion and advance reproduction justice.

“Does this make sense? It has nothing to do encouraging girls to become athletes. It is totalitarianism. This is white nationalism. Anti-LGBTQ agenda. Anti-abortion agenda. Matson wrote it to Matson now that she has over 15,000 fans.

Matson said, “This is true.” It received nearly 47,000 hits and was met with anger by some parents.

Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt signed a bill on March 30 that prevents transgender girls and women from competing on female sports teams. Stitt signed the bill flanked by more than a dozen young female athletes, including his eighth-grade daughter Piper

On March 30, Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt signed legislation that prohibits transgender women and girls from participating in female sporting teams. Stitt signed his bill with more than twelve young female athletes, including Piper (8th grade), who was there to support him.

Ginger Knight, Woodall Schools Superintendent said that the district is following an Oklahoma law and required to submit the affidavit as per the state statute.

Notary must also sign the form.

Public schools must complete this affidavit prior to the start of school. A parent or guardian is required for students aged 18 or under. Students over 18 can fill the form by themselves.

Students are responsible for notifying the school within thirty days of any alteration in their biological sex.

Eddie Wright, the District of Oklahoma City Public Schools’ Director of Athletics, stated that the athletic department supervises 7th-12th-graders who must now fill out an affidavit.

Wright indicated that the exercise is being carried out through Rank One’s athlete management software and scheduling software.

Many civil rights activists voiced their dissatisfaction with the law and the American Civil Liberties Union.

Tamya Cox-Touré, ACLU of Oklahoma executive director, said in a statement that ‘promoting baseless fears about trans athletes does nothing to address those real problems.’

Fox News reported that SB2 is a violation of the United States Constitution as well as federal civil rights law. This puts Oklahoma at high risk of losing federal funds and damages transgender youth.

The text of the law specifies that sports designated for 'females, women or girls' shall not be open to male students. It does not address male sports. It appears the Woodall Public School district has gotten a head start on following the new law, as the 'Save Women's Sports Act,' ( SB 781 ) only officially goes into affect on August 28, 2022

Woodall Public School District appears to be ahead of the curve in following the new law. The ‘Save Women’s Sports Act’ ( SB 781) officially takes effect August 28, 2022.

Governor Stitts has signed the “Save Women’s Sports Act” that protects female-only sports in middle, high, and college. It was signed on March 30.

Students must be able to play on any team based solely on their biological sex.

According to the law’s text, sports that are designated for girls or women shall be prohibited from being offered to male students. This law doesn’t address male sports.

Woodall Public School District appears to be ahead of the curve in complying with the new law. The ‘Save Women’s Sports Act’ (SB781) officially takes effect August 28, 2022.

Missouri Senate: The law says no athletic team or sport that was created for biological females shall be available to students who are biological males as per the act.

“No government entity, licensing, accrediting organisation, athletic association, or organization shall take adverse action as defined in the act against a school that maintains separate intramural or interscholastic athletic teams, sports for students who are biologically females.”

“No public or privately owned middle or high school, or institution of postsecondary educational that has biological males playing in the biological women’s sport shall be eligible to receive money from the General Assembly.”
